IPV6X recalls including firmware issue blowing out coils
So I've been blowing through coils and figured bad coils, sugary juice but saw someone mention here somewhere about another recall for the IPV6X firmware issue where it had to be fixed by company.

I emailed pioneer4u support which is kmg in California.

This is the response I reviewed...

Yes that is a issue that will cause damage to your coils if you would like too issue a replacement please go to our site and fill out a form!

So he told me straight up there is a firmware issue only they can fix, it's not something we can do even though these are firmware upgradable via USB. BUT catch is YOU have to pay shipping both ways to have it repaired or replaced. I'm sick of this shit already with this.
First battery polarity problem, then a battery door popping open issues and now firmware problem that is causing coils to burn.

I am emailing the vape place I bought this from for my options through them, I may be done with pioneer4u products.

Any American companies make mods? Or is everything from China?

Thanks

Wow what a bummer. since they admit it is their fault THEY should provide postage. Unfortunate.

That's how pioneer4u works. Any issues is on your dime to pay for shipping to and from them even if something is 100% their fault.

Betcha they are immune to a "class action" lawsuit, because they are based in another country, as well! Did you upgrade the firmware?

I figured as much. Damn. If vendor takes this back I'll be on hunt again for another 2 cell mod once again and will never buy from p4u again.

There are no firmware downloads on their site available for the IPV6X.

Aren't there kits you can buy to make your own 2 cell box mod? One of my co workers uses one he made...obviously it is probably unregulated though.

That seems fishy...firmware issues are usually fixable with new firmware. I deal with firmware updates on almost a daily basis with the printers I work on. It almost has to be a design flaw or hardware issue.
