RE: IPV Mods
Can you just adjust it via mod buttons? Do they have external 18750 cells?

RE: IPV Mods
18750? I didn't realize that was even a thing. The only DNA200s I've ever seen are either 3x18650 or 3s LiPo powered. I don't know for sure if you can adjust the TCR via mod buttons, I don't think you can though. You can set up to 8 different TCR profiles using eScribe and then cycle through them using the buttons on your mod, so you could just set them all as different TCRs for different SS coil types or just set the TCRs slightly different to test what works best.

I just realized you may have just meant 18650 and accidentally typed 18750. If that's the case, there are some 18650 DNA200s. Mike recommends the Triade, which looks like a really nice option. There's also a Releaux DNA200 that's basically the RX200 but with a DNA200 chip, and I know there are at least a couple more out there though I can't recall the exact names off the top of my head.

RE: IPV Mods
Yes, 18650.

I'll look into some DNA deal I guess. Don't want to spend a fortune though.

RE: IPV Mods
I think the Triade is one of the least pricey options out there. Should cost around $150 max online. DNA200s aren't cheap unfortunately, but you get what you pay for imho.

RE: IPV Mods
The Psyclone EVO is a lipo. However, unlike the Chinese lipos this battery has a great life. It states 1300 MaH but lasts longer than any 1300 MaH equivalant Chinese. It's not cheap but it is probably the best DNA 200 on the market. Very well built and with a ton of options ... doors, buttons etc. It also has one of the best warranties on the market. Psyclone is a company you can rely on. Now if you want to get something special in a triple 18650 ...

RE: IPV Mods
Call me a sucker but I went for the IPV8. Call me stupid. I'm hoping for an iPV 4s experience.

RE: IPV Mods
Switched to the Boreas on the 5, TC seems to be fairly, mostly stable. Coming off the 13/9 and the IM, the flavor is good but not quite as good. The boreas is a good looking little guy at least.

That would be too easy - loyalty to a fault isn't a bad thing! Tongue

RE: IPV Mods
I'm a sucker for loyalty. And have been burned often enough that I ought to know better....

But don't. Tongue

Remember selling Pentax 6x7 cameras. At 4 digit pound (2 dollars at the time) prices.

What I never told the idiots - OK customers - was that you needed at least 8 of them to make sure that one of them would work when you needed it to.

I sold a lot of them and they were good.

At least when they worked. Fortunately the warranty was good.

RE: IPV Mods
It's silver and has that brown part, and it looked nice, and well, I don't know. I just need something reliable with good TC.
