RE: How to make your own Naturally extracted Tobacco NET's.
Ok I've started a couple of batches. I bought a whole leaf combo from wholeleaftobaccoonly which consists of 400g of Canadian Virginia and 100g of American Flue Cured. Turned up really quickly. Totally shocked at how much there is and in hindsight i think i should have ordered a smaller amount (maybe 20g instead of 500g) as its only for a trial. I've decided to do some of each flavour in separate containers. While I have the slow cooker on I may as well bung them both in.

Started off by getting rid of the big huge stalk running through each leaf and cutting up 20g of each variety very very small. Tried chopping in a mini delia smith kind of electric chopper - total waste of time and effort so went to the pre historic method of two metal blades...scissors. 20 minutes and 4 blisters later I had some finely shredded tobacco leaf in the bottom of my two cups. I used those big round breakfast coffee cups.

Measured out 60ml of PG for each one but this didn’t even get the leaves saturated so poured more PG into each cup until the tobacco was covered (approx. 100ml in each one). Gave it a good mash up with a fork then placed into the slow cooker. I placed each of the cups on an upturned kilner jar lid so the cup wasn’t touching the base of the slow cooker. Filled the slow cooker with nearly boiling water and switched on low at about 10pm last night.

Have been stirring every now and again and both of them have very dark brown almost liquorice coloured liquid in there now. It really smells nothing like tobacco though. Smells quite bitter and rank. Oh well in for a penny in for a pound as they say! Not sure how long to leave it stewing in the slow cooker as the ‘leaf’ seems to have very little colour left. Think I will leave it in there until tomorrow morning and see what happens.

When everyone else was at this stage was the aroma from the stewing liquid like tobacco or just bloody awful like mine?

RE: How to make your own Naturally extracted Tobacco NET's.
Awesome Niki! I'm glad you managed to get it going well, yeah the smell is awful at this stage and will pretty much stay like that until you've strained it and got rid of the leaves.

I'd leave it a couple of days before you make your first mix with it too. Once you open the bottle after it's been sitting for a couple of days the rank smell should have subsided and it should smell like a strong tobacco smell (like a very strong cigar)

Mixed on it's own it will be a bitter vape though some people enjoy that, I personally would sweeten it just a little with some vanilla or any other sweet tasting flavouring you have. It's quite a strong flavour too so maybe best not to use more than 15% when mixing.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the outcome is.. oh btw the filtering takes forever and needs to be done at least twice Tongue

Good luck Good2 Drinks

I haven't done any NETs yet, but I mixed some chocolate and tobacco like I mentioned earlier and WOW so good Smile Hoping to be able to make a NET here soon and mix it with the chocolate flavor, should be even better than the pre-made tobacco. Fingers crossed!

Not a tobacco guy myself - but this sounds more and more interesting.

Thanks folks!
