Like the atty - do not like building it.

I find with these smaller attys you need to keep the coils farther away from the posts or you get spitback. Also find Koh Gen Do the best cotton by far.

I've never tried KGD cotton as Muji (Though I gather current issue Muji cotton is crap) works just fine for me.

If I was reduced to current issue Muji, I might feel otherwise. But I have a lifetime supply of good Muji.

I ordered more than I thought i had. I got this box about half the size of my (large) dogs. I'll never run out of the stuff despite giving away half of it already.

built a 28g .48 quad coil in the doge X2 today ( 9wraps 3.0mm ) .
what did i learn ? 10 thumbs makes life interesting , more fumbles than i care to count. a single cell is not enough for a 28g quad coil . and i'll need to try something different .
live and learn

You managed to build a quad coil with almost .5 ohms that fit? Total, not per coil? Wow, I'd love to see a picture of that beast. Why did it fail, when other .5 ohm builds would work on a single cell?

A lot of my lower builds I need to put on regulated mods to get the watts and heat I need to fire 'em up nicely without over extending the batteries. I find I never use my tube mods anymore. I go through the batteries way too quick, get hot buttons and a hot tube. So it goes ...

On a different note I found this:

Very useful. Build SS on your RDA and vape in TC mode.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
ran the quad coil on the IPV D2 . worked well above 50w but generated a lot of heat . below 40w not much vapor .
on the nemesis she puked cloud , but again got hot fast .
Eggza : a 28g 1 ohm micro coil is roughly 4mm long , it's tricky to wick but lots of room on a 22mm rda. the hard part was getting 4 coils to glow in sync.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
need to pick the bain of the coil guys . working with claptons and runing into som awkwardness ( 3 hands would help ,just saying ) with the process .
using a set of swivels ( 3 ) , and a dremil . the dremil works well but occupies one hand . i do have a drill ,but it's a real beast ( milwaukee magnum 75th anv edition )
what i need is a way to control the spool , any idas ?
on the up side i did pull off a nice .4 ohm single clapton 316L/.15 k . not as tight as some , but cherry resistance for the D2 . a second just like it would hit min resistance perfectly.
