That looks good Mike! How are you flattening the wire? hammer, or some sort of hydraulic press?

I was gonna ask the same question! I see flattened builds every now and then and I've always wondered how they did it. I've tried beating wire with a hammer til I'm blue in the face, and all I've come up with is a bunch of wire-shaped indentations in the workbench. Maybe I should just get an anvil...

Mike W, your build looks like what I have been using for months now (minus about 3 winds). I tried Claptons but found they heated up the mod more than I like. I'm pretty happy right now with my builds; or at least I'm comfortable with them. Twisted is so easy to do so why not.

I'm loving the twisted and you're right, very easy to do. I'll be dropping my wraps down on my next one. I want to get down to about .15.

That's where I am. Two-wire twist, dual coils, 4 winds each, 24g A1, 3.0MM ID gets me .15-.16 depending on its' mood. Works great, and the 3.0 is almost too easy to wick. Love it.

Sorry it's not a super clean-just built and wicked image but it's the current build as above.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I just went back and looked at my latest post in this thread, since those coils are still in my Phenotype-L and I haven't built anything new recently. Lol and behold! I made those things on April 28, and they're still going strong and honestly I think I could go another month or two on them easily. This might be my new favorite build, just because it's great for huge clouds and flavor and these coils last freakin' forever! Just to refresh everyone, these are 24/30 fused claptons and I've been running them at around 110W constantly, with the occasional burst of 140W when I REALLY want to fog a room. I've gone through probably about 150-200ml of juice on these, with only occasional rewicking (about once a week) and I'm just blown away by how long they're lasting.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I built another twisted stainless last night, and only used 5 wraps. That brought it down to .15. I won't post a pic of it since it's the same twisted as I posted earlier just less wraps.

This thing is hitting just right. Nice vaper production and great flavor. Running at 100 watts at the moment.
