You're a jerk, Mike. Tongue I didn't notice that light grey fine print on the 26/38 fc recommendation...

And hour and a half later, I have exactly one coil. And way too much wasted wire.

It works great though. Really good flavor, and it warms up a lot faster than the 22/30 I made earlier.

But damn, that was hard!

Wow  - Mike is a homer simpson, a tool and a jerk now. And yet his reputation is higher than mine. Damn. Someone needs to call me names too. Twisted is what I like best Michael by far. I have some kanthal quad twisted 30ga at 2.8mm diameter, 0.5ohm and six wraps. These vape smoothly (that is to say heat up quickly and evenly) and taste perfect. They are 2.8 diameter to just fit in some of my RTAs. I could not go bigger. All that wire means a lot of surface area which mewans a lot more flavor overall. "Course they are not pretty like mike's twisted which are a multi-colored panarama - ss and nichrome look so pretty.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
On another note I just picked up some Tesiyi 18650 batteries. Four of them for 40 Can. I found when I was building around .1 ohm my batteries often heated up. Especially single batteries of course even at .14 - .2 ohm. Now like all the guys here I bui;ld too low - meh. But I wanted a safe battery. I have to say that after testing these batteries just don't get hot like my Sony or Samsung. They do have a voltage drop but I can deal with that. I just do not want batteries venting when I'm using MIKE coils. I'm sure you have heard of those. If not search the web and google. If you have not tried these batteries give them a go.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
Dug the drill out today. Unfortunately it is a fixed (high) speed device. Did some 2+1 twisted 0.42mm Kanthal(About 25.5gauge). It is a pain trying to use a high speed device to twist wire but we got there in the end. Not up to Mikes standards though. dual 6 wraps round a 3mm former (Fortunately the Velocity deck is pretty big) came to 0.2 ohms. There's a lot of metal in there, they only start to wake up at about 65W. The flavour is impressive - but the vapour is a bit much for my cold just now.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I always fluff it up after trimming and before soaking in juice. Got the guts of 3ml of juice in there.

I wonder how well gerbils wick Tongue

A flatmate of mine had been a soldier. He was at his folks' house on leave when his little sister's gerbil pegged out. The rest of the family were off on a cruise somewhere.

So he has an idea and takes the little corpse down to the pet shop. "I want one exactly like that, but breathing" He was a bit shocked that the pet shop thought this was nothing unusual.

So anyway, he's back running a recruit platoon at Aldershot when he gets a call.
"The gerbil pegged out while we were away"
"Didn't"
"Did"
"Didn't"

"Well how come a gerbil that has lived alone for three years has just given birth"

Might have to try hamster wicking next Tongue

If only excess dog hair was a wicking material - I have an ample supply.
This was the excess from a light trim of the smallest of them.
