I liked it, it had really good flavour.. just too middle of the road as an atty for me though.

I did it!!
The way the light reflects off this wire is amazing! Like a rainbow.. I only wish the camera could pick up what the eye sees

Presenting.. twisted 40g wrap fused Clapton
[Image: CM160121-13294503_zpszfxcoxzw.jpg][Image: CM160121-13395007_zps93an7842.jpg]Give or take it took seven feet of twisted 40 to make only just enough for a pair of coils.. I won't make them again, way too time consuming!

That is brilliant gently - you are a great craftsman - I take my hat off to you and to all the others on the forum who build coils - what a wonderful hobby.

That sort of coil building is hard.

Basic coil building using single wires is dead easy - at least as long as you have a Kuro type device.

Thanks guys Thank_you2Biggrin

First time recall seeing you in here ecig, so your reply means a lot to me. Drinks

Yeah Don, these weren't easy.. to turn two spools of wire to two coils took me just over an hour! Probably not the most efficient use of my time, but I'd be willing to bet I have the world's only set of 'em Cool

They look great. If I were to try that it'd probably look like a kitten had got to the spools of wire Smile

But given the investment of effort, you probably do have the only ones. Possibly the only ones that will ever be made Smile

Hi gently - as you will be aware this is not really my scene - but credit where credit is due - your workmanship is truly amazing. I know very little regarding coil building but I do recognise great skill when I see it.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I gotta say, I'm in awe when I see these awesome coils you're making, gentlydoingit. I've been trying to make some good Claptons but I just haven't had enough practice to make it work yet. Mine always end up getting gaps between the coils, or the thinner wire gets wrapped on top of itself, or things like that, I'm amazed how you get yours so nice.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I just looked it up. 40 gauge wire is 80 microns, a human hair is 125 microns!

Doesn't that stuff break when you breathe too hard on it.

Just how close is that close-up?
