RE: How do you dip yer wick?
tried my luck with an inception coil build (a nano inside a macro ), was a beast to build . took a good 20 mins to get a single coil to fire properly given it started out sloppy as a soup sandwich . kind of fun to build , not so fun to wick.

When life hands you lemmons , make lemmon aid . When life hands you coconuts , stuff them in your shirt and ask if they make your boobs look big .

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I never had much luck with those, you should get your camera sorted chuck.

I'm just about to start a triple core fused clapton[Image: 20151209_223946_zpsnw52fpkc.jpg]
I'm hoping to get them in line but I think a triangle is inevitable, either way works for me Smile this has the potential to go horribly wrong, it's the first tripple I've tried

Yep, there she is.. a perfect triangle. Lol.[Image: 20151209_225413_zps7rhegrkv.jpg]
I was hoping it wouldn't do that but as soon as I pulled the trigger there it was. Oh well, let's get it in the velocity and see how it vapes.

In hindsight I should have folded some 24g around it to hold it flat. Next time maybe. Pardon

Got in in there Smile

I used 3×28g kanthal wrapped with 37g kanthal. 5 2.5mm wraps @.2 with a Scottish wick[Image: 20151209_233053_zpspfplyjfj.jpg]

The ramp up time is around a second, properly fast! When I hit the button the initial fire up vapour is massive[Image: 20151209_234241_zps0dnsflcr.jpg]

Good coil, flavour and vapour are spot onOk  It is quite hot for 75w but there's always going to be some sort of tradeoff.

Hey chuck, I haven't managed a video yet, I did try but my phone isn't the best candidate for filming it. I did however take a few pictures you may be interested in. Mid way through the build I use an implement, a lot like the thing in a manicure set, to position the coil, it also takes the slop out (loving that expression Wink )[Image: 20151209_231435_zps8pocyfqy.jpg]

I use it with the drill bit still in, levering off the side of the juice well against the tails to push the coil central and tighten it up onto the bit, after some judicious tweaking bobs my uncle.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
i think it's just time to put my camera out to pasture .its an erly digital with internal memory ,that holds 9 pics and gets 6 per set of batteries .
the inception coil was brutal on wicking so i put in a 7 wrap 5mm mega coil , nice flavor not so much for cloud

New atty new coil Big Grin

Clapton 24g 317l ss wrapped with 32g nichrome. 5 2.5mm wraps @.33
[Image: 20151214_211401_zpsdgbjnkz9.jpg]
Flavour seems quite washed out, pretty sure it's not the coil but I'll wallop another in tomorrow to make sure. Vapour is kicking for a single build.

Revived the copper nemmy earlier, polishd and a new copper spring. Thought a fresh coil was in order too Dance2.

Another fused Clapton of 26g 316l wrapped with 34g kanthal. 5 3mm wraps at .14
[Image: 20151221_014035_zpskjevjfft.jpg][Image: 20151221_013443_zps4wq7il2p.jpg]

Looks nice, vapes even nicer and hits HARD. very little volt drop in the nemesis. The coil brings out the sweet flavours really well in the cutwood juice im using

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
As this is a clone of an ft thread, shouldn't it be called the how do you dip yer wick 'style' thread? Mosking

I sometimes build 'normal' coils.. and here's just such a coil.
20g 316ss, 6×3mm wraps @.14
[Image: 20151227_022226_zpsqqgvmasq.jpg]

Looks used?.. it was, I didn't take a pic when it was fresh in. I wasn't going to either, but then i thought; can't all be fc's I post up.
I had to do something straight forward with the forge rda, the deck and low profile top cap aren't best suited to larger builds. 20gss wouldn't be my first choice of wire but with the extra amps of the parallel box it performs very well indeed! Massive vapour production and with the slightly restricted airflow of the rda there's ample flavour too Smile

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I've been having some dry hit issues with the serpent rta, so for some reason I thought this coil would help
[Image: 20151229_204811_zpsjnnq8ied.jpg]

It's not dry hitting atm so it might be cured Smile
It's a 26g ss, 6 1.8mm wraps twinned @.22
[Image: 20151229_205056_zpshzrp05ll.jpg]

Yeah, I left that coil wonky Tongue

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
Obviously new wire meant new  coil Big Grin

All the new wire I got was fused orientated so there may be a few new posts in this thread over the coming weeks..

I had very little time to make and build this coil at work so it's not perfect, but it's pretty close Sleepy Tongue

This is 26g 316l ss wrapped with 40g 316l ss, 5 wraps dual at .12

I built it in the forge rda, it works soo f'ing well I couldn't even begin to tell of the flavour! and the vapour is by far and away the best I've had from this atty yet.
Pound it by food fighters was the juice of choice, and daym that juice is good!

Yep, I was a happy vapor today Smile
