Does anyone else even build coils? I'm kinda owning this thread at the minute. lol

Quad stacked. 8 wraps of 24awg 316ss 2.5mm coils for the velocity. (This is a pic of an old coil but it's better lighting so I'm using it)[Image: 20150721_152710_zpsthz3mauf.jpg]

Works really well but murders to death my battery life!
I need more wire now so I'll stay silent and give someone else a chance Biggrin

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I know what I said.. I found a few off cuts of wire kicking around and having a new atty meant I had to coil it.
So a 6 wrap on 3mm of twisted 24g kanthal 24g 316ss at just under .2 found its way in there. I used bacon v2 for the wick, so I could test it's longevity. Vapes OK,  even with all the airflow full open its still a little tight for me, not overly though. I guess the 3mm wraps are restricting flow a bit, 2.5mm wraps might be better next time around.[Image: 20151127_220947_zpsve2v2uvv.jpg]

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I whacked a pic in another thread. It's an airforce, a lot like a velocity but with under coil airflow.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I p[icked up the bullet RDA today. It vapes okay with a single 3mm clapton coil at around .4 ohm. I first tried a twisted dual coil 2.5 mm at .28 ohm but it did not work well at all. In fact it started to burst into flames, lol. I as not over impressed with the bullet. It is okay. I mean it is an RDA and I loove my RDAs. But I would not recommend it. Post holes are too small - was really hard fitting one thick clapton in. It is also finicky and a bit too airy. Now I saw a guy who bought a cera ceramic online. He loves it except that it leaks lioke a mofo if you overdrip at all - which I tend to do.
