RE: How do you dip yer wick?
haha yeah I've learned that the hard way before, accidentally left a bit of rayon on the coils when I was rewicking and firing the coils, it was basically spontaneous combustion. But I keep hearing good things about silica so I'd like to try it. I have a little bit back home that I got for free when buying atties, so once I get back from my trip I'll try it out.

I'm thinking when I get back, I'll rebuild my kayfun with a ~1.5 ohm build with silica and try it out on my iStick, if it works well I'll use it like that. My poor kayfun isn't getting much use these days.

Silica is good stuff. It'll work from low watts to insane watts. cotton will work above 100W but if you aren't careful it will mean you are inhaling flames. Silica doesn't burn..

I should redo my atty with silica. I like to change it up now and then because Silica brings out different nuances in the juice.

Dry burned - silica tastes awful BTW.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I went straight from my Protank with silica wicks to an RDA with cotton, then I found rayon and it blows cotton out of the water, but I've never tried silica in a rebuildable atty. I'm thinking it's worth a shot. Worst case scenario, if I hate it I'm not out anything since I got it free anyway. I guess I just have a bad stigma in my head about silica because it's what's inside clearos, so that makes it seem cheap to me, because clearos aren't nearly as good as a RDA with cotton or rayon.

That's pretty Bob! I've never had much success with parallel coils.

But then your photo isn't from straight above - this might be a viewpoint effect.
