RE: How do you dip yer wick?
It should be way higher than your reading then, I just did a double twisted .2 kanthal dual coil and it was still up above .3ohm, something is definitely amiss there.

Nice job Scott, I never did attempt the clapton as I kind of knew I would run out of patience before success Tongue

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
That thick wire is fun stuff isn't it? Need some more?

Next time I post something south I can put more wire in.

I'm going to get some 0.8mm soonish (20g). I think they're going to do 1mm (18g) soon.

They are doing strange stuff like niobium (Melting point 2468C - higher resistance than Kanthal) and tungsten wire (Which is what lightbulbs use). Niobium is a platinum group metal and costs accordingly. Tungsten isn't exactly cheap either.

TVF tested battery info to be found here

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
Sure buddy I'm getting into this thicker wire now. It gives better flavour IMO and never needs dryburning. BOth of those builds are at least 3 weeks old and only been rewicked once (without a dryburn). They only look a couple of hours old at most!
