RE: How do you dip yer wick?
You'll soon find builds you just want to keep. My trident has had the same twisted coils in for six months now with only dry burns, washing and wick changes, thet have now become a punishment test subject, I wont be changing them till they fail, which at the rate I'm going at it recently, may be shorter than I hope. Flavour on it is imo, some of the best you can get, and the clouds are pretty good too. Yahoo

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
Okay, see this is why it's cool to spend some time with other cloud chasers Tongue

Sir Gords.. our Legendary Slayer of Joose was here a couple days back and he hit upon something I hadn't noticed. So we're both sat there chukkin clouds with our Igo-M's and the thing is, Graham tends to take off the topcap to drip whereas I usually take off the driptip....

He's sat there looking at it in despair saying "WTF.. this thing has a ton of juice in it but it's telling me it needs more - I wonder if there's too much cotton in there"

Well Graham I have to give you a pat on the back mate! You were dead right, the cotton I had in there was pulling juice away from the coil once it reach a certain level of saturation so I took your advice and put way less cotton in there and used the juice well as it's supposed to be used (as a juice well) Tongue

You won't believe the difference it has made, bigger clouds and more flavour and it crackles properly during the hit now too. Cheers mate Good

There is one con!!!

No warning before a dry hit and boy is it a HUGE dry hit when you get it wrong LOL, my eyes are still watering Prankster2

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
Very nice Bob, I've never tried it myself but due to the contact area the flavour is meant to be significantly better. Did you notice a difference ?

Very tidy build too.. my favourite gauge wire is 28G and 24G, I have some 22G here but haven't found an application to use it until I drift down into the 0.1 ohm range. I'm normally in the 0.3-0.4 ohms territory.

Don and Gords are both normally lower than me though

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
Ribbon is pretty good but needs effort to get refinement. Its well worth the effort though. I use 1x.isg ribbon generally. Cotton really does need to be just enough and no more, if you pack it it doesn't wick, just gently tuck it in and cut off any excess and your good.

Dual micro coil, as mesh wick, mesh wrapped with cotton before coil
