RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I wish - I had to order it from a jeweler supply house in Boston. Haven't been able to find it anywhere else - this stuff is super low resistance and a premium wire but still very reasonable when you consider a single coil comes in @ USD$2.50 versus what they most charge for wrapped coils.

Not sure if being gentle with it would yield such nice results, but I'll try.

Anyone else notice that sucralose infused juices literally burn away the center of the wick in short order? I like it, and I suppose in teeny doses it's better, but I really hate that because I really like sweetened juices once in a while.

Hell yes!
Past few months I've stayed away from sweetener. I don't find it any good for vaping tbh. I suddenly became sensitive to it, now the merest hint of black crud gives me a cough and sore throat.

I've seen it on eBay and (I think) Amazon. The usual wire guys did have a niobium alloy wire for sale last year. But don't seem to have it now. It should be pretty hard to blow a niobium wire coil as it's melting point is 2468C.

Sadly, that's now true for me too. My wife has a rather high tolerance for an 'imperfect' vape, but I am now forced to change the wick a lot more often than I want because as soon as I get the slightest hint of off-flavor or burnt taste, I stop enjoying the vape and have to clean/re-wick. I actually hate that and wish I was less sensitive, but it is what it is. Low watts, high watts, no matter. Eventually they all foul and I detect it almost immediately. That's why I can't use sweetened juices all the time. Love them, too.

Spas had the same problem. He found that very high VG juices meant rewicking twice a day. Mixing at 50% PG solved that problem and his wicks last much longer now.
