RE: How do you dip yer wick?
You don't catch anything big enough to warrant redundancy, brother.

I will have you know that I had a 32lb Salmon on the Sac. river in N. California - using linked swivels - just for redundancy reasons[Image: smile.gif].

They're in the Rafale X "series RDA", which was introduced to me by Stoic.  In a regular RDA, this build would have been around 0.09Ω.

Yes it should be .09, I can't see what the hell you did to raise the resistance.. Scratch_one-s_head

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
It's a series RDA. Basically, the positive pin is on the right, and the negative is on the left. The 2 hole center post is a dummy post - not connected to the RDA circuit at all. So the RDA effectively doubles the resistance value of what the single coil value is.

Resistance is not futile - It's (R = ρ • L / A)

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
Tried to use swivels again, this time in series, yet it still rolled. Not as much as without, but still. Anyway, just an excuse to post another try at the Gatorback. Twisted 28g SS316 and a single 28g SS316 core with a 40g SS316 wrap. Ohms at .39 as a single build, so I'm happy with that.

A beginner I am, nut, For sure.

I don't know if it's the nature of the Daedalus or if I'm just not doing it right, but I wish I understood how to keep the wire from rolling over. It would be so cool to be able to have a long, flat wire without having to jump through hoops straightening it out while coiling it up.

Yes, but you have to use them in redundancy - 3 sets is perfect. That way, when one fails (or tightens) you have others to take up the balance.

By sheer luck I started with 3 swivels...turns out it was the perfect amount. Smile
