My preferred screwdriver is a 3.25mm rubber handled Phillips...don't give up - have you considered asking hubby to assist? May be a way to get him into it, indirectly. Smile
I can barely get my hubby to loan me his wire cutters. I do have one jig that works for me, a 2.0mm. The jigs I don't like, switch out the different mm's. I'll just order more jigs like the one that works for me. Or, I'll just super glue them in place, see if that works.

I use one of these for wrapping simple coils, and one of these for wrapping claptons/twisted/etc. The first link is really good for easily wrapping plain wire, but it doesn't play well with anything that's not perfectly smooth. The second link is really good since it has different diameters to use all in one tool.

Well bibs, you don't actually have to build duals right out of the gate. You could just build a single coil to get the feel for how to wrap, mount, glow, wick, etc. The Haze has the ability to block off airflow on half the deck. Use the calculator to get an idea of the coil you'll need and just try one instead of trying to get two perfect twins straight away.

Thanks TW. Sorry for any attitude. Lots of frustrating stuff right now. I used the steam engine calculator, and with my wire and 2.0 jig I just need 3 wraps. I can most likely handle that.

Funny, when I first used the calculator, I accidently put in 2,0, and it said I needed 30 wraps.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
Caution- You'll roast out the cotton pretty quickly if you have that few wraps (that is a benefit of duals when a low resistance is desired). You may want to keep it at 5 wraps minimum.

I didn't sense any attitude. Just frustration. And hey, we did warn you that it is a little tricky at first until you get that light bulb moment that will soon come. By the way, you NEVER need to apologize to the TW. He is not easily offended.

Thanks, I'll start with the single coil. In fact, I one good one on the Haze now.

Definitely don't give up bibs. The eureka moment will come. Took me awhile to finally get it, think I even ranted a few times here about it lol.

Keep Calm and Vape On!

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
I wonder if I posted an early build of mine. Looks like I was having ADHD issues while trying to follow along with a Mr. Rogers instructional video. I can't even believe they worked. Seriously, not even gently, Paul, or Michael will try to say they were the experts they are today when they first began to build. Well, maybe Paul will.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
Just thanks for letting me rant. I really don't want to pay for coils any more since I now vape like a mad crazy vape person.

RE: How do you dip yer wick?
Hey Bibs - you want to see the things I built at first - it is how 'Twisted Messes' came up with their name[Image: tongue.gif]. The thing is they actually worked - they are better now but it took a while to get it reasonable - you know the saying - Rome wasn't built in a day. Stick with it - you will suddenly get it right and wonder what all the fuss was about.
