Hades and Vanilla clones
This is to remind me to review these. Summary, the Vanilla (18650) clone is nice, the Hades (26650) clone isn't all that good.

RE: Hades and Vanilla clones
I've found the same. The hades has a .3v drop more than the mutant, down to 2.6v under a .09ohm build Sad

RE: Hades and Vanilla clones
I'm seeing about 0.7V drop into a much higher resistance than that. I've not yet made an adequate dummy battery for direct resistance testing.

RE: Hades and Vanilla clones
Having made a dummy cell out of hot glue, toilet paper and copper wire held together with parcel tape, I'm seeing about 155 milliohms across the switch/510 of the Hades - the dummy cell has a resistance of around 1 milliohm. I'll now need to reduce the diameter of the dummy so it'll fit in 18mm mods.

For comparison, I seem to be seeing around 25 milliohms on the Vanilla clone.

RE: Hades and Vanilla clones
I meant to go to B&Q and get a suitable nut and bolt.

But didn't Smile

Couldn't face the Sunday mobs in there. Somewhere in the shed there ought to be a big tub of assorted (rusty) nuts and bolts. But it has gone into hiding...
