HELP
Hi guys and gals I have just signed up to the vaping forum and I was wondering if any of you could help me out

I have been vaping on my kangertech subtank mini with a premade o.5 ohm coil at 30 watts for a few months, I get good flavour and a decent amount of vapour from it

I decided it was time to up my game and get a bigger set up so I purchased a rx200 temp control with a isub tank I am using a premade 0.1ohm nickel coil and although I am getting good flavour I'm not getting as dense vapour from this device I am complete new to temp control vaping I am currently running it on 90 watts and at 460 degrees I was just wondering if I was set up wrong or if anyone could shed some light on my situation

Any help would be highly appreciated Smile

RE: HELP
Hey Blake. Welcome to tvf

I've not used the coils you speak of, though I have used many other nickel temp control devices.
My experience is that most nickel coils don't produce massive clouds, regardless of them being much lower resistance than normal coils.
You can up the power as far as the coil will handle and have the airhole fully open. If you use 50/50 vgpg then thicker juice will help, I'd not go much over 70/30 though. That's about as good as it gets.

I will give you the heads up to install the new firmware from wismec, the temp control has been updated and may well work better with your setup

TC is not the best for thickest clouds, but for flavour.
And + 1 for the Nickel not producing the most clouds.

Kanthal double or quadrouble porn coils do, espcecially in clapton or tripple-twisted.

RE: HELP
Thank you for the reply and so fast haha Smile

I will have a look at the firmware you mentioned and see if it makes a difference, I am using 80/20 juice atm I forgot to mention that also my device is getting quite hot after a few good tokes is that just normal with the temp control or is it something I may be doing wrong ?

Thank you for the help Smile

RE: HELP
Use Kanthal and Power Mode.
Under TC runs my machine somewhat hotter, too.

RE: HELP
It's normal with the rx. I can't get five hits without it turning into a hand warmer Girl_cray2

Though it is cold out...

RE: HELP
Hi and welcome Blake.

You can try turning off temperature control - set the watts to what suits you.

And have fun.

Just be sure you don't turn off temp control while using the same coils. Nickel + higher temp = nasty toxic fumes. No fun. Only use temp control mode when you're using nickel coils.
