Going to have to start DIY e-juice
I just cant seem to put down my rig, so going through too much juice. I have read through the various mixing threads, and it looks like for under $60 I could get started and reap the benefits with at least a 2 to 3 week supply at first, and then I will be able to make more after I get past the first investment. First batch will have to have limited flavor choices but that will get better down the line. Will have to wait until end of the month for first purchase.

Found a reasonable price for the mixing supplies on amazon
Will get the nicotine from NicVape (thanks MichaelGood)
Glycerin from Bulk Apothecary (thanks again MichaelGoodGood)
Flavors from Capellas...(see aboveBlush)
Obviously will follow Don's mixing guide and the many other threads here with tips...

Juice making is fun. Find a calculator that makes sense to you. I'd never dis Michael, but with free shipping, Amazon has cheaper prices for VG/PG. Don't make the mistake I did, get 100mg Nic. Take a look at Heartland Vapes for flavors, they carry cappella. They sell larger quantities for something like a 2$ more than the 15ml bottles. What flavors were you thinking of? Fruit is easy to start with.

The only VG I saw on Amazon said "kosher" which I read somewhere here is not quite as pure as the stuff from Bulk Apothecary.
I was already planning on the 100mg Nic. Thanks for the tip on Heartland! I am going to start with Vanilla Custard and some other ones I can add to it, possibly Blackberry based on what you said on another thread! btw, Are you SURE you dont want to refer me to any of the FAQs!Sarcastic_hand

Since you already read Don's article, I would probably link you something in mixology. Once you start mixing you can try your recipe thought before you mix on the What did you mix today thread.

just looked at Heartland Vape site, the flavorings listed have TFA, LA or CAP listed under them. Assume these are "brand name" abbreviations?

Yep - CAP is Capella, TFA is (can't remember) Apprentice, LA is (I think) Lorann

TVF tested battery info to be found here

TFA = The Flavor Apprentis

I thought kosher was just as good as USP food grade. Don, any info on the grades?

And Chum, congrats on getting into DIY mixing, I'm happy I could help Tongue

Which Vanilla Custard are you starting with? That's one flavor that often needs to steep for r a few weeks before it's any good. At least, so I've been told. I haven't used a vanilla Custard base before lol.

RE: Going to have to start DIY e-juice
I have many Capella flavorings, and they are all top notch. I am starting to accumulate The Flavor Apprentice concentrates as well thanks to Heartland, and they seem to be pretty dang good too. (Rainbow Drops from TFA is exactly what Vapewild uses for Double Rainbow if you know that juice, by the way).

The prices at Heartland are hard to beat, and I've come to trust them. Great service, fast shipping, good product. Also have nothing bad to say about Capella.

Seriously though, about Vapewild's Double Rainbow- That was my wife's favorite vendor juice ever, and she has missed it greatly since we stopped buying vendor juice. I assumed I would never find it but assumed I could emulate it eventually. So when I saw Rainbow Drops TFA at Heartland for $5, I figured I could doctor that up and get close. Ha, well, turns out it is exactly Double Rainbow. No need to modify it. 20% ratio. Wife is very happy. If you like that juice and want to DIY it, that is the concentrate you need.

I'll endorse Heartland as well. Great customer service, they took care of a shipping issue the next day. Their shipping is commiserate with what you order. You can get 60ml for one or two dollars more than elsewhere I buy supplies.
