RE: Giving up on sub-ohming
I was fine with MTL until I got the hang of DL. As long as you still enjoy vaping that's all that matters. For me, sure, I love dripping a great juice on my RDA and basking in the glory of big flavor and clouds, but if I couldn't have gotten on to it, I would still be happily MTL'ing with no issue. Just do what ya dig, and don't fret about what if.

Hi TW - I am not upset about it in any way - it would just have been nice to enjoy the choice and therefore the variation. It does seem to me however that the general opinion is that sub ohming is superior to MTL which it certainly is not - now back to my Nautilus and 8.9W. I am being particularly daring today - it's usually 8.5W.[Image: smile.gif] Happy vaping everybody.

.

I think actually what you're reading is that DL vaping is considered 'superior' to MTL in flavor and vapor production. I don't think it's intended as any sort of snobbery. Face it, either way, MTL or DL vaping is better than analogs in prolonging your life and good health, so I just put that in my pocket and happily vape on.

RE: Giving up on sub-ohming
My wife still prefers MTL two years later, can't stand DL.  But she's not a fan of hookah, either.  I have learned that that's a big indicator.  I ask people how much experience they have smoking hookah or smoking weed from water pipes.  Dead serious.  People that are used to DL hits in that capacity, are often unsatisfied with MTL vaping and will go back to smoking cigs.  Once I get them to a proper subohm setup, they're done for good.  Other people love their MTL and are fine with it forever.  As long as you're vaping, that's what matters!

Remind one liberal per day, that laws affect only the law-abiding.

Well, as far as that goes, let me go on record as stating that I've never smoked weed or used a hookah, honest! Friends tell me I've missed out on some fun times, but you can;t miss what you've never known I suppose. I'm one of the very few people (Americans, anyway), that has absolutely zero exposure to illegal narcotics of any kind. Beer, however..........

RE: Giving up on sub-ohming
It is a myth. You can get superior vaping with MTL. My son has vaped for five years and NEVER goes beyond 15 watts. I have tasted juices at low wattages with the right equipmewnt at 9 watts and been very surprised by the excellent flavor. And I am a DL guy by nature. I often vape beyond 100 watts (parallel unregulated box mods). In the last few months I have begun building my RTAs much higher and vaping at much lower wattages as a regular daily vape. I only dripo at night and then just for an hour or so. The nautilus mini is a great tank.

You say it is nice to have choice. I'm no longer convinced of that. After years of vaping of have way too much choice sitting on my table. I'm addicted to new toys which is not good. In fact I'm going out to,morrow to buy another mod I do not need ( I want the new Evic VTC for my new aromamizer). I probably will use the set up once every few days at most as the bellus on a VT200 at 35 watts is my daily vape that I'm happy with. If you find something you enjoy don't get sucked in. This can be become an expensive habit when you really sub ohm - too many mods, rta, rba, tanks rda to choose from. Be happy you prefer MTL hits.

RE: Giving up on sub-ohming
I think it depends very much on what works for you.

I do both but actually tend to prefer MTL although at around 40W.

For me, the best flavour I can get is on a Chalice 3 clone (Well a real one is 130 euros - and FT clone is 9 euros!) at 0.4 ohms. Yes, it does get hot (it is a 14mm atty) but works very well for me.

RE: Giving up on sub-ohming
To clarify, I was talking about MTL vs DL vaping rather than sub-ohm vs. non sub-ohm. I personally have a better vaping experience doing DL rather than MTL because I like the deep draws, a bit more heat, and to me the flavor and vapor is better.

But then, that's one very appealing thing about vaping. I love the variety and the ability to love one style and not have to get used to something unfun (new word alert).
