First vape shop in my area.
We just had a vape store open up in Augusta, and was nice to go to an actual store and look around at what's out there.
All I ended up buying was a "universal tool" that does coils in 4 sizes and is a flat or phillips screw driver, some Japanese cotton and some 22g kanthal.
I asked the guy if I could try a few of the new vv mods if I used my own Atty... He said no. Was severely disappointed by that answer.

Though, the coil tool is nice, and I love the Japanese cotton and the 22g kanthal. Did a 7 wrap coil, 3mm. Got my old magma RDA set up in single coil and it's kicking out some vapor.

Wish the dude would have been a little cooler on letting me try the vv/vw mods. I been wanting one and probably would have ended up buying one of them.

Well, point is, I don't have to be jealous of those of you who have a local vape shop any more. And best part is its right on my way to work. Drive by it every day

RE: First vape shop in my area.
Congrats on getting a new vape shop in your area! Brick and mortar shops are the way to go in my opinion, it's nice to be able to see the stuff up close before buying. Wish he'd let you try out the mods, but it's not something out of the ordinary. Most of the shops I've been to just use one or two of the more popular mods as a tester, and don't let people try the others because they don't keep them charged up and it's too much of a hassle to get them out, test them, clean them, and put them back.

RE: First vape shop in my area.
one of the b&m shops I go in has all the tanks and drippers built and wicked for customers to try
you just need to have your own drip tip and you can try what you like

if at first you don't succeed ,call it version 1.0

RE: First vape shop in my area.
This one is fairly new and they are still getting stuff set up, so maybe later on they will offer more to try. They had a few ego types you could try and could try their juice out.

When I first started vaping, there was a gas station in Lewiston that sold 510 atomizers, batteries and juice and I could not find another store anywhere, not even down in portland. Stopped in to head shops, smoke shops, gas stations... nothing. One smoke shop in Augusta I think actually got offended by me asking if they had anything for electric cigarettes.

Now I can think of 4 places off the top of my head that I can stop in and get juice or an ego style tank. But I am still very excited for an actual vape shop.

A lot has changed in the last 4 years in the vaping world

Oh, and this 22g kanthal and Japanese cotton... fucking awesome! Dual coils, 7 wraps 3mm, I am guessing probably about 0.3-0.4 ohms. Takes about half a second to warm up, but once it does its like you can hear the vapor exploding off the coils

Right now I don't have drippers set up but I keep batteries charged and allow use of the Demo and display MODS I sticks, IPV's, Sigelei's etc all available to try.

RE: First vape shop in my area.
I stopped in again yesterday and it was another guy working. I asked if I used my own atty and cells if I could try out a few. The first one I asked he just happened to have one out charging. It was OK looking buy would not fire my 0.25 ohm coils. So I asked if I could try the Cloupor, and he pulled his own out of his pocket and let me try it out. I thought that was pretty cool of him letting a total stranger use his personal mod.

The Cloupor hit like a tank, but I guess its a pretty flawed mod. Another thing I noticed is they had a price tag of around $160 on it. I am all for trying to do my part to try and help them stay in business, but thats twice the price of that mod anywhere else.

I think I decided I will get either the Arrow 100w mod Sigelei 150w, or the Sigelei-100W Plus

Edit: I want to ask them if they will do a price match, or even a price match plus like 20% or something, but dont want to be rude. Like I said I want to help do my part to try and keep them in business, but I can not afford a 100% markup. I will keep stopping in and buy my wire and cotton and other small do-dads though. I think next time I will buy a resistance checker from them, I think those were like $12.50

RE: First vape shop in my area.
I'm not wild about a potential 150W - probably 10-15% more out of a pair of 18650s. Best case 150W / 8.4V = 18A at least, probably 19 and up.

Worst case 150W / 7.4V = 20-24A.

I'm not wild about more than 50W per cell so I reckon the 100W device is safer and should be adequate for just about everyone.

RE: First vape shop in my area.
I just want one I know will handle what I want. His Cloupor was set at 82w I think when I tried it, and from what I understand they dont actually put out what its set at. It was plenty enough for me.

My current setup is 0.25 ohms, and at 4.2v that would be a hair over 70w, more realistically probably about 55w or less, so 100w should be plenty but would want it a real 100w and not have any other underlying issues

Not cloud chasing or any other form of extreme vaping LOL, just looking for the next step in finding my perfect vape
