Firmware update issues
I just did the firmware update on my Evic vtc mini, and I keep getting the temp Ni protection message. Even if it doesn't pop up I'm getting really weak hits.... I'm using the same setup I was using before the update (35w 470 F and a .2 ni coil)
Anyone have an idea of what's going on??

Have you locked the base resistance from cold?

RE: Firmware update issues
I would suggest turning it up. The temp protection just means that the coil has reached the set temp. If it gets too hot it should say "too hot" or something like that. I run my rx200 at 600 degrees at between 80 to 100 watts, works pretty good there. If I'm not mistaken, the circuits of the evic and rx200 are nearly identical, or at least similar. I don't own an evic, so maybe somebody that does can give you a better idea. Also, if you are in one of the tcr modes, try taking it out of that. I still don't know what they are really good for, I just leave them alone.
