RE: Favorite Side Benefit from Vaping
It's great there is a good mix of ages on this board, I like the different perspectives on vaping and life in general.  I'm 54 and everyone smoked until the late 90's.  That's about the smokers were relegated to BFE.  I always liked smoke breaks, I'm a chatter, as you can probably tell.  Got to know lots of different people outside my little cubical world.  Now the vapers go out, most were in their 20's and 30's.  That's where I got the feeling I was too old to start something new.

TW, I was a real wasted youth until I got married and had a little one.  Smoking was the least of my bad habits.

as a cook the return of taste has to be my favorite , i had forgotten chicken had a taste of its own .
there has also been a gain in physical endurance , i can do far more before becoming winded.

Im 61 so I can relate bibliora and Fatboy! Haven't smoked in 30 years and love vaping!
We've been in the fast food restaurant business for 34 years and I can remember when managers used to smoke right in the office and customers would fog up the lobby at lunch time. No one thought anything of it!
I can always remember when I first started smoking I used to tell my friends that I wished there was a way to smoke and get a candy flavor or fruit flavor. Little did I know 45 years later I would be doing just that vaping!
I think its a great hobby, a great community and I look forward to it everyday. Also, you folks are fantastic. Ive been on many different type forums and this one is really special.
happy vaping!
rick

It's the issue of the flavours and taste options that has the whiners and complainers doing their thing.... the fact that it tastes good is being used to fight the battle that it will encourage and get young people vaping....

Yes, this is a great forum, all age groups, different backgrounds, life and vaping experience and all with a common interest...and passion to help newbies...

RE: Favorite Side Benefit from Vaping
Finding this site is my second fave side benefit, only thing that beats it is getting my wife to quit, which I was beginning to think was impossible. Not knocking all the other side benefits, better health, clean house, no more holes in my clothes, and other stuff, not to mention the fire hazard.

Speaking of fire hazards, back when I was on the coffin nails, I held a part-time job in a chewing tobacco factory. They actually let us smoke on the ground floor, but not the second floor. About three months after I got got called back to my full time job, the place burned to the ground. Maybe I should say no fire hazard as my favorite. I dunno.

All of the above....funny my wife quit cigs 2 weeks after I did...unlike me, she reads and reads and reads...she threw herself into learning everything she could on vaping....

Today we were at the local vape shop (I'll post something in a different new thread) but she was talking to one of the guys about wanting a ceramic coil like she has in her Target 75W but for her crown tank that she has on her Kangertech...hadn't even thought of a ceramic coil for the crown... she told me this afternoon she has been entirely smoke-free for over 2 weeks...so cool.....

I wish my wife was like that, she's kind of the non- techie of the family, she tells me what she likes and lets me figure it out. But in a way, it works out well for me, I can buy her all kinds of exotic stuff and then "borrow" it whenever I want. I just hope she doesn't catch on.

RE: Favorite Side Benefit from Vaping
Being probably the oldest person on the forum and having smoked for over 50 years the health benefit is fantastic. I go fishing a lot and travel over fairly rough ground at times and when I do this my legs no longer ache. My recovery time after exertion is half what it was 2 years ago and I no longer get as many aches and pains as I did. Financial gain has not been what it really should be because of my weakness for mods. It is great getting my friend nicotine with any flavour I wish but I am with Don on this more than anything - this forum and the great community spirit here is wonderful so I want to thank you guys for that - there are things money cannot buy - this forum is one of them.
