Jensen FF Mark II

It's got the vintage look I dig Good3

It is vintage - that's a 1970 registration. The first letter is a sequential thing after they run out of numbers, the second two are the place registered. The three digits are a sequential thing, the last letter is the year of manufacture. So they'd go AEX 001-999 J then BEX 001-999 J and so on. The car was first registered in Great Yarmouth in 1970.

In the current market the car in the pic would be worth around US$140,000.

My late next door neighbour had a Triumph Stag in her garage belonging to her grandson. It never got driven as it broke something every time ti got started.

Unfortunately BL used that model to get all the engineering ugliness out of their systems. Then handed it over to a labour force who went on strike when the beds for the night shift workers were removed.

Any Triumph Stag still in existence probably has very, very few original components in it as they also dissolved in the rain.

The steering wheels were hard to break so they might be original...

As long as it is one of those before they started selling them on the US market. They got a lot heavier then as they had to have a lot of "stuff" for the US market that was not (then) required here. A 1965 Series 1 with the 4.2 litre engine would be nice. Even if you then had to find a source of 5 star leaded petrol.

I have to agree the Us market requirement also ruined the MGs
