Are you trying to use it pass through (on charge) from a flat battery?

There seems to be a battery/charge issue.. I assume it won't take a full charge if you left it a few hours?

Na so the Istick has a battery built in to it...plug it in.
Charge it and you're good to go. I lowered the wattage earlier and tried to hit it, but it didn't work...so I raised it back up, but when I raise it and try to hit it it flashes and goes back to what the wattage was before I changed it and obviously doesn't hit

The flashing display is an error code, of sorts, that usually denotes a low battery or over power warning. Though 4.2 on a .6 coil is probably a little high, there's no reason it shouldn't fire up.
There's only a handful of things you can do tbh. Firstly try giving the 510 connection where the atty screws in a really good clean, also inside the charge port, then swap out the coil for a fresh one.
