Do I need this ohm meter for use with pre wrapped coils?
I wanted to start using my Big Baby Beast RBA which came with pre wrapped, pre installed coils.
But my question is do I need to get and use an ohm meter on pre wrapped coils? And if it is showing ohm's what exactly am I using the meter for with pre wrapped coils?

http://www.vapordna.com/Coil-Master-521-...com521.htm

Also anyone build and use the Big Baby Beast RBA yet? I'm curious how far you're supposed to tuck the cotton down into side of deck. Found a few baby beast rba videos but nothing for Big Baby Beast.

Thanks!!! Good

yes, bro, you'd better test the coils before you use it.so you need one ohm meter.

RE: Do I need this ohm meter for use with pre wrapped coils?
It's a good idea to use an ohm reader any time you're installing the coils yourself, just to be sure they're reading what they're supposed to be. It's more important when you're making your own coils, but it's not a bad idea since you're still going to be installing the coils even though you're not making them yourself.

... That said, if you have a mod with a built-in ohm reader, then it's really not necessary to have an external ohm reader. Yes, it'll be slightly more accurate than the one built into your mod, but since you're using pre-made coils anyway, it's not going to matter much. The main thing is just making sure they aren't wildly far off. Like if you install a pair of 0.5 ohm coils expecting it to be 0.25 ohms in a dual coil setup, then it doesn't matter if it reads as 0.26 or something, you just want to make sure it's not reading as 0.5 ohms (which would indicate that one coil isn't connected fully) or that kind of thing. Which your mod would be able to tell you.

Kanthal can be some what inconsistent , minor anomalys in the wire can create a variation in resistance ,though small .01 ohm can make a difference in a functional coil and a low resistance warning . Even wit a regulated mod always test resistance befor wicking .
It is always a good idea to have an ohms reader handy, safety first .

Burbon comes from Kentucky , scotch comes from Scotland . Others deserve no bottle .
