DOA itaste VTR, or am I using the wrong high drain battery
Just bought an itaste vtr from blackcloudvapor at a really good price($75+7shipping). I got it and keep getting the lov(low voltage warning). The guy at BC told me that the battery needed to be a flat top battery. I've done a lot of research and have not seen this, and in fact have seen it bundled with the exact battery I am using on ebay. I'm using an AW IMR 18650 2000 3.7v. The battery has a vented nipple on top. He told me that if I send it back(cost me more now because I have to pay for shipping), he wants me to send in the battery I am using with the device. First of all, that is my backup for my provari, as I go through two a day, and second of all, does anyone know if he is right?

Thanks,
John-Paul

Doesn't sound right to me.I have no real experience with the VTR but AW batteries are decent and if it works in a Provari that should rule out the battery as the issue.

That's what I am dreading. I think I'll buy another battery and charger locally though, and test it out before sending it out. Could I have a bad charger(cheap)? It's the one from Provape(the Tenergy)which is a very cheezy charger...

Charge the battery and put it in the provari. I assume the provari gives you cell voltage reading?

The 2000mah aw imrs are not the best,  personally I think aw cells are over rated, there's much better options in both capacity, current output and how the cell holds its voltage under load.
If you can get some sanyo? 20r's  or Panasonic ncr18650pd's locally, id get them, imo both are far superior to the aw cells which are only rewrapped sanyo cells of an older design anyway.

Have you tried a different atomiser in the vtr to rule out shorts in the iclear?

I've been running some E fest cells and they have been decent and aren't too expensive.
In my Vamo I run Xtar 3400 mah Panasonics and have no issues vaping for days Smile
