DNA 30 + 26650 alibaba $69 if we buy ten free laser engraving. Group buy?

Anyone up for a group buy? We would need ten people though. I don't think that $69 is too bad for this. I'm not sure if it includes shipping but I did ask for the quote to include it. I know I would like one for sure. I might be able to get a sample of one, not free of course but it might not be a bad idea to test one out first. Let me know your thoughts on this one. 


Now I am one cheap old bastard, make no bones about it, but this one might just get me to spend some money.  I see they take paypal which is nice.

It's not a DNA 30 though, just a sigelei chip. I doubt the output is linear but I can't be sure about that though.

I tried looking into this some more and I can't find out anything about this chip. He wants $105 for a sample and would engrave it which is pretty cool. I'm not sure I'm willing to smack down over a hundred bucks on a chip that hasn't been reviewed at all. As I said I'm pretty cheap.

My problem with this is. At .5ohm, your talking 3.3v to get 22watts.

My 18650 cells and telescopic mod are only dropping .28v at .3ohm, so your seriously hampering the potential performance, and your still pulling 6+a to do that, most chinese vw devices have a 5a limit on the switch, this makes me skeptical that it really will do what they are claiming. Yeah six amp is less than 1.5c for a king kong which wouldn't worry me and give you longer run time than say a vamo, but I just dont trust that it will do what they claim it will.

Plus $69 will buy a dna30 board and get close to getting you a decent lipo pack. Us guys in England would struggle since they take US prices and swap the dollar sign for a pound sign.....but the 1a usb charging board I got off stealthvape was only a couple of quid.

Granted you'd need to come up with a case, but as both spasmod and 18sixfifty have shown, thats not all that difficult.

For me, I'd prefer to put the money towards a dna30 build. I'll think on it though, $69 is about fifty quid. I almost owe Don that, so there may be a uk sale yet.

I asked him about shipping as well and he said he would ship to one person in the US and one person in England. Although I suspect that I could get him to ship individually. 

If I can talk him down to $69 for a test one I'm going to go for it and see what it's all about. If not I don't want to pony up over a hundred bucks on an untested chip. 

I looked into this guy a little bit. He was on FT forum getting suggestions from people on how to improve his last chip. He had a goofy one that was shakeable and gravity setting to change modes. I couldn't see the possible reason why you would want to do that. It made no sense to me at all. That model was only good down to 1ohm but this one is supposed to be new and improved it also worked with PWM and I'm guessing this one does as well. 

I'll keep digging and see what I can come up with, but right now I'm not very optimistic.

Yeah....but quite restricted compared to .5ohm on a mech. Like 22watts vs 30+watts that's my issue with ve at the moment. I know they taper off, but not much, not for me anyway, that could be these samsungs I have though, they do seem to hold up their voltage quite well, I've got four of em now so my day to day arsenal includes two stupid drippers lol.

And the next time the taifun gets recoiled I'm going to shoot for .6ohm, see how I like that.
