RE: DIY Flavor Suggestions?
When I get peppermint, I will start at 50% mint, 40% chocolate, and 10% vanilla to get to the 20% base ratio. I'm looking forward to it! Chocolate is strong, for sure, so really it's going to be up to you.

RE: DIY Flavor Suggestions?
Personally I love really sweet vapes, and I'm not a huge fan of fruity or menthol stuff. So for me, these are the flavors that I keep on hand:
  • Capella's New Caramel v2 (much better than the old stuff, and v2 is dicetyl-free)
  • Capella's Cappuccino (works great with the caramel)
  • Capella's French Vanilla v2 (goes with literally anything)
  • Capella's Sweet Cream (again, goes with anything for sweetener and/or creaminess)
  • Capella's Apple Pie (I'm still working on making this great, it's good on its own but needs something...)
Those are what I use in my favorite juice recipes, so I get big 4oz bottles of them. I also like to get small 13ml bottles of a few flavors to sample, like Blueberry (fantastic with Sweet Cream or Menthol), Hazelnut (eww, I can't get it to work with anything), Menthol (good for MTL, I don't really use it for DTL juices), Double Fudge Brownie (fantastic when mixed with vanilla and sweet cream and steeped for a very long time), the list goes on... Point is, you can get smaller bottles of juices to taste test and see what you like, and make small batches when you're coming up with recipes so you don't waste a lot of flavoring if it turns out bad, and then if you decide you like it a lot you can always just buy big bottles next time. As you can see, my main flavoring supplier right now is Capella's simply because I haven't really tried many others and I like what they offer, but a place like heartlandvapes is good since you can try different brands and see what works for you.

Agreed on the Hazelnut! Too much like raw nuts, and I was hoping for roasted and a sweeter profile.

RE: DIY Flavor Suggestions?
Yeah I got it hoping it would work with tobacco, but that was an absolutely terrible idea. I also tried it with blueberry, methol, sweet cream, vanilla, and various combinations of those, and it always just ruined the other flavors. I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're right it's more of a raw flavor, just too bitter to really play well with others and even more terrible on its own.

Any and all of what you will need for DiY. Located north of Toronto and great service! I've ordered from them several times.

They don't sell nicotene - for that I use https://e-cigsupply.ca/ based out of Ottawa area.

http://itsvapetime.ca/ships free over $45 and although I know they sell nic, they don't advertise it on the site. I now buy all of my supplies from them as they have a storefront and I can PU one bottle at a time...sure I make numerous trips but it is convenient. Smile

RE: DIY Flavor Suggestions?
I'm with y'all on the Hazelnut. I love it in so many things, but it just doesn't work with juice, so I haven't bought any nut flavors since then. Other flavors I haven't gotten to work are apple pie and cheese cake. I'm going to keep working on them.

Don't toss out the hazelnut! It's part of the banana nut bread masterpiece I'm going to replicate then share the recipe privately. Tongue

RE: DIY Flavor Suggestions?
I love banana bread, but don't have any banana flavor. I'll put in by basket and hope to get funded before the new year is out.

When I made it on August 21st I almost tossed it - I make in 30 ml - at Xmas I found it in a drawer, tested it and almost asked to be left alone with it! Smile

RE: DIY Flavor Suggestions?
That's why I started putting the make date on my labels. I haven't found an organized way to keep my mixes that need steeping out of my site.
