Cotton Bacon V2
So, the B&M turned me on to that stuff, Cotton Bacon V2. I've been using 100% organic cotton sheets I got off Amazon. A billion sheets for like $5. And, I've been having to change out my cotton at least twice a day. Guy at the B&M said it's because of the cotton I'm using.

He said he uses CBV2 and he goes about 2 weeks, often longer, with the same cotton. This is a stand up guy and he's proven himself many times to me, so I don't see where he would lie to me about it. So I bought it. Yeah, it was a bit more there than online, but I like the guy and his shop.

Anyway, I have no personal feedback to share since I just got it. I'm hoping there are folks here that use it who can share their thoughts, especially on flavor and most especially on longevity.

RE: Cotton Bacon V2
I had a little tester from a friend, so I'm no expert on the stuff. The bit I had was really fibrous and held loads of juice. Flavour was good, but I was using a sweet 80/20 juice that blackened the coils within a few days. I thought it was good cotton but I didn't see it last any longer than kjd or muji, though largely because of the juice.

I change my cotton bacon more often then that. But yes, I do like it. The taste is good.

Well, I'm on day three of the same wick. It's not the fluffy, white, happy little cotton the B&M guy showed me that he claimed was 3 weeks old (far from it), but it's better than the twice-a-day I used to use. If he's really getting that kind of mileage then I can;t wait to get better at DIY cotton and coils.

Maybe he had clearer, less caramelising juice? I've had my fused Clapton billow coil in for 6 weeks now, re-wicked three times, but one of those was because I auto fired it for 10 seconds. oops

RE: Cotton Bacon V2
i rewick when ever my vape gets muddy . i change flavors multiple times and each flavor leaves a trace . i have gotten a week from the same wick . sadly i commonly burn my wick trying to depleate the previous flavor

I use cotton bacon v2 on a regular. I switched from kendo cotton, and i think its pretty damn good IMO. I think its a personal thig really, but its decent. It lasts me about 5 days or so.

RE: Cotton Bacon V2
I'm getting about 5 days as well, which is much better than a half a day with the other cotton I was using. CBV2 is more expensive but that's relative; it's not like a car payment. Final verdict, for the ability to go 5+ days between re-wicking under normal usage, I'll keep using it.

RE: Cotton Bacon V2
So, with my go-to setup: Twisted dual 24 A1, 5 wraps at 3.0mm, on my 13/9 RDA at average 42 watts, I get about 4 days out of a fresh cotton pack. Having now used it this way since October, I feel I've gotten as far as I am going to get with the CBV2.

I can handle swapping the cotton every 4 days, that's not a big deal. But I would still like to find something I could get 2 weeks plus with. If anyone knows anything like that...

RE: Cotton Bacon V2
I have a pack of it but haven't tried it yet. I'm not sure how much benefit I'll get out of it though. I drip and change flavors often during the day. A lot of them have very different flavor profiles and will muddy other flavors. So, I'll end up rewicking at least once a day sometimes more with some of the stronger flavors.

Keep Calm and Vape On!
