Chinese government to introduce tobacco smoking ban

I saw it earlier this week and am not sure that everyone has grasped how big it could be. China has 300m tobacco smokers and I think any ban in public places will speed up consolidation in the electronic cigarette sector. I would be interested to hear your opinions?

This'll have the Western tobacco companies running very, very scared. I suspect they all wanted to expand into China.

Hi Don

Since the smoking ban came into force in Europe and the US, China has been the largest market for tobacco cigarettes. I think this will only increase the move to electronic cigarettes.
