Really like that little PCP. Never was a fan of springers. My dad has a nice springer, but liked my trusty old Crossman 760 more. Need to get a new bolt handle machined for it though

RE: Chat hub
I like pcp's for their ease of use, but that springer is a tack driver, when I was in practice I coulf one hole that as regularly as the pcp's. The trick is in getting a decent spring in there, thats running a webley venom tuning spring for a .177 action, nylon sleeved, specially designed spring, there have been tests done where a rifle was chrono'd, cocked, left for a year and re chrono'd and it had lost no performance.

I really like that rifle. Smile

RE: Chat hub
Smile I was very close to selling them earlier in the year, which would really disappoint me, as I said to you, for various reasons none of them are replacable, either due to availability, parts or sentiment.

To give the US guys an idea, the short break down pcp, in standard form, is designed to break down into a standard briefcase, it was £750 new, mine has had an extended walthar barrel and sleeve factory fitted, along with another sleeve custom machined for it. I wouldn't like to hazard a guess what all that cost, but it came from a cottage industry place that was forced to close when postal restrictions came into force a few years back. It is, irreplaceable and even if I found one, I'd never have that kind of cash spare to throw at it now.

The Falcon was bequeathed to me, its all I got from my grandfather's estate, and is hardly used, I probably wuarupled the number of pellets that have gone down the barrel and I only put a few tins of pellets through it.

The webly, whilst beaten up is reliable, shoots straight and is fitted with a custom spring that went out of production ten years ago. That spring makes the rifle imo. It also has a custom machined silencer made for me by a long dead member of the rifle club I used to shoot in, that was organised as a suprise by a friend of my dads who taught me a lot about shooting clays, again he passed a while back.

Hell writing this, I realise just how much sentimental attachment there is in all those rifles, the skan came from a member of the same club. It also makes me realise how old I'm getting, I've had them almost ten years now o.O
