i hate yard sales.

I'd rather do a yard sale than turn alpaca manure.  Cheers

Ah, vaping from the beach. Fun, especially after a 1000 mile drive.

Just about anything is fun after a thousand mile drive. Anything that isn't driving anyway.

450 miles on a 185cc Honda was bad enough, I was walking like John Wayne. One thing - until the last 30 miles there was no possibility of getting lost as there was only the one road and only two inhabited places.

Yeah, it was 1040 miles door to door. Stopped only for gas and bio breaks. Left at 10:30PM Saturday, arrived at 3:30PM Sunday afternoon (lost an hour for a time zone shift in Chattanooga). It would have been easier if we left in the morning and got there at night, since that is the usual wakey time for me, but it was fine.

RE: Chat hub
I thought you had a national 55mph limit?

Or are your cops less keen on enforcing speed limits than ours?

OK, we are a much more crowded country but there are speed cameras everywhere.

I'm old too, and I remember the national 55. It was repealed back to 70 about 25 years ago though.

OK, actually... "Congress lifted all federal speed limit controls in the National Highway System Designation Act of 1995, returning all speed limit determination authority to the states effective December 8, 1995."

RE: Chat hub
I find speed limits tend to be more of a suggestion on most highways in the USA.  It's more of how conditions and law enforcement allows.  I've had a radar detector for most of driving life.  I live in Texas and we have a lot of long roads to zip down.  I may like to go fast, but the autoban terrified me.  Wish we had one in the US.  Cheers

RE: Chat hub
In my travels, speed limits on highways tend to be around 65-75 mph. Which is about 100-120 km/h if I recall correctly.

TW you went right through my town! I live right off the I-75/24 split in Chattanooga Tongue
