Yeah, last year they made them legal up here in Maine. Blew a bunch of $$$$ last year, dont think I bought any this year. Only thing we cant have in Maine now is rockets... so of course, I managed to get a bunch of whistling moon rockets and other small bottle rockets... gotta live life on the edge Sun_bespectacled

My tiny little town ended up with a "fireworks depot" it's a chain store that sells just fireworks. It's a tiny slice of heaven I tell ya. I think about half the town was there for it's opening and it's been packed with out of towners since then too.

Of course I had to go down and blow some money as well, so tonight I'll be blasting off a good chunk of my disposable income for the month.
I'd forgotten about the tradition in the US of blowing shit up for the 4tb. Fireworks that are actually legal here are very expensive and crap.

It was a bastard when they banned mortars, I know that. We used to always blow a chunk at bonfire night.

I'm currently being told nicotine is highly addictive. Shall we say I'm holding my own and leave it at that? Diablo

I was more subtle. After two minutes I told her to fuck off as she clearly hadn't a clue.

Next up was someone demanding fresh air........she didn't like the option of fucking off outside either...... aftee rejecting my offer of evidence of harm or not regarding vapour. Lol

RE: Chat hub
Well I had a pretty good little fireworks show and so did a bunch of people who lived close enough to see and hear. I don't have any direct neighbors but some back in the subdivision across the way had them going and there is a gravel pit not far that had a pretty good show too. I blasted off 36 mortars some other rockets a bunch of bottle rockets, a couple dozen roman candles and about a brick of fire crackers.

Michigan has made a couple good moves lately on the pro-freedom side. They got rid of the helmet law, fireworks are legal, Concealed weapons permits are easy to get now, Medical Pot is legal. The economy has picked up a little but up in the North it's like it has been since the 80's about 15-20% unemployment and average income around 25k a year. But there is about zero crime, you can hunt and fish to fill your freezers and canning all year round. Housing is dirt cheap. You can rent a nice house for $350 a month and buy one for less than 50k that is also really nice. It's clean and friendly too.

If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?

Morning all. A restful night in the wilds. Hounds fed, thinking about going to the pub to buy petrol (gasoline) for the saws, mower and strimmer. And thinking I'd better get dressed first. The midges are feasting on me so that'd be a good idea. Hurry up and come out Mr. Sun.

Sunny and clear here. Just walked up to pick up my car, we crashed at my mums last night so our phil has been treated to grumpy luke in the morning. Smile

I now need to get to a battery charger. Lots of "irritate the antis" cloud chasing has hammered my cells, I'll be on back up back ups when I get home.
