Howdy from Texas! Well, I'm not actually in Texas, but I'm sure the folks there would say hello.

RE: Chat hub
FT also has a decent stock of bottom feed atties.

And many atomisers can just have the centre pin drilled out. A 1.5mm hole is plenty. You do need either:

Incredibly steady hands
or
A drill press

RE: Chat hub
Interesting concept. Is that sort of how the big dripper works? It kind of reminds me of a keg under the bar and the tap on top.

The Big Dripper has the tank on top but yeah, same idea. The keg is exactly how it works.

Here's my DNA200 one - it has a standard 10ml bottle in it.

I know there are explanations on the forum somewhere, but since we're right here... How does it actually work? How do you get juice from the keg under the bar to the tap? How does it not flood or burn? How is low pressure eliminated?

RE: Chat hub
You just squeeze the bottle when the wicks get dry. There's a dip tube down to the bottom of the bottle. You can just see the tube in the middle of the bottle in the pic above. When you squeeze it, you push juice up into the atomiser and when you release the pressure, the excess liquid should be (but often isn't) sucked back into the bottle.

For a well-designed bottom feed atomiser, the base is slightly dished so the juice can all drain back into the bottle less whatever the wicks have taken up.

RE: Chat hub
Hi TW - Don would be able to explain this better than me - but here goes[Image: smile.gif]. There is a plastic bottle screwed in under the atty. The bottle has a tube attached to the the nozzle of the bottle and when you squeaze the juice squirts up the hollow connecting pin into the atty. On really good attys. the feed hole is flush with the base of the atty. and the excess juice goes back into the bottle. On attys. that are not flush the juice sits in the well and is absorbed eventually by the wick so you do not have to squeaze the bottle so often. The taste is as good as dripping because it is basically the same thing. I find it brilliant for MTL but at higher Watts it must be great for direct lung hits - I hope this poor explanation helps[Image: smile.gif].

RE: Chat hub
So, do you have to turn the mod upside-down while you squeeze the bottle, so the juice can make it up the tube? Seems easy to overfill or leak since it's shooting the juice right to into an upside down rda.

RE: Chat hub
No - the dip tube means that juice is pushed upwards into the atty when you squeeze the bottle. Then when you release the pressure on the bottle it'll suck back what isn't needed then air will slowly replace the juice in the bottle. It's a semi-sealed system with a small hole to let the juice up into the atty. Air will flow back down there if the drip well isn't full.

Here's the first vid I found.
