RE: Chat hub
I much prefer bait fishing as it allows for sleep between bites.. it's always best when the bait falls off the hook Smile

I'm not a fan of bait fishing. I need something to do with my hands, so I've got a nice collection of probably 20 or so spinners of different sizes and shapes, if one doesn't work I just try another, but I like the motion of reeling it in slow then throwing again much better than dropping it in and waiting.

I would agree with you on carp fishing its a waiting game but salmon and sea trout your constantly on the move searching the pools trotting the bait down stream in that respect its a bit like fly fishing and spinning the rods always in your hand

It is a Latin American cichlid - and like most cichlids a prime candidate for an ASBO just by existing...

Only cichlids I kept with others was rams. As they died faster than they could kill everything else in the tank.

RE: Chat hub
For those not born in the UK, an ASBO is an Anti-Social Behaviour Order - a way of keeping the underclass in order without costing what courts do. With an ASBO, allegation is proof.

I could rant for around 100,000 words on this and the implications.

But it's getting worse. Don't ask me about the Sex Offenders Register.

Where allegation by the psychotic is proof.

They are nearly as bad as discus to keep needing very soft water i can't understand why there one of the main cichlid species sold in shops as there fragile, Bolivian rams are a much better hardier species for tanks i suppose they stock what they can sell with there bright colors, some species of apistogramma are the only ones i would keep in a community set up and only because there small and most can get out of there way lol

here in the US antisocial behavior is more and more common , expecialy amongst the younger generation . during my youth this was rare given the foot in ass policy was still common practice.

RE: Chat hub
We have really soft water round here.

Which helps.

Discus were just too much hassle. I do masochism at work - no interest at all in doing it at home.

I used to run a cubic metre marine tank. But what it cost in salt and RO water per water change was way too much when my flatmate who'd bought the tank moved 100 miles away. He got paid per hour what I got paid per day...
