RE: Chat hub
I've lived in an utterly metric country. I can do both.

But these days I have to work out the Fahrenheit temperatures. Between 30 and 50C I've always been metric. You haven't suffered till you've lived in a place where it hit 52C and 100% humidity in November. Been there, got heatstroke from that. Sad

And no electricity so no air conditioning and Tilley (Coleman in the US) lamps (Which pump out about a kilowatt of heat each) for light. Which is no fun at all when it is already 125F. And 100% RH.

Not my cup of tea that.. I much prefer the cold than the heat everytime. I'm so bad I can be sweating when everyone else has coats on because they're freezing lol

RE: Chat hub
A few years ago I went to Madrid to visit a mate who'd married a Spanish woman. It was around April. Everyone there was wearing all the clothes they owned. I was complaining about the heat...

I can take extreme heat - try wearing 11 yards of heavy woollen cloth (AKA a kilt) when it is 41C in Madrid.

Or extreme cold - I've stayed in a place at waaay below zero © for weeks at a time. I spent a couple of weeks commuting from a place that hit -10C as the high point. And went to work in a hospital where the cold bits were 30C. On a motorbike...

Don't ask about my socks!

RE: Chat hub
Thanks guys.

And the pellet gun is the Hatsan Vortex. I'm pretty much an open sights kinda guy on small game but I think I'll pick up a cheap scope just to see if I like it or not. Probably the Hawke 4X32AO Milldot

I put a couple hundred pellets through it yesterday to break it in and it's shooting great. This morning I hung a can up at about 20 yards and drilled it ten for ten with the open sights. It sure puts a heck of a hole through it. Just tore it up. Not much left after I was done. The amazing thing was at the end I thought I was missing. But I had just ripped a hole through the center, the rounds showed up on the backside though so I wasn't missing.

This thing is addictive.

I bought a bunch of different kinds of pellets and as luck would have it the thing likes the cheap gamo pro magnums. 2 cents a pellet is cheap like I used to buy 22shorts for.

If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?

Pellet guns are amazing these days. Really want to get my hands on a .22 pcp. But after the gun and pump setup, I will be looking at about a grand... Not chump change. Got a decent Benjamin .17 and my old crossman 760. They are nice, but not really want I'm looking for.

I'm fine, was just beyond drunk and a lot going on here

RE: Chat hub
A PCP would be really cool but way out of my budget. I paid $119 for this one shipped. I would have paid a little more and got the one with the suppresser on it but they won't ship that one to Michigan.

I had an old 760 when I was a kid and that little baby was a cool rifle. You did not want to get into a BB gun war with me. We had two pump wars but you know everyone cheated once in a while. I still have little scars from digging them out of my skin. That was how we did it back in the day, none of this paint ball stuff!!  Although I have to say the paint ball and airsoft stuff does look like fun.

I'll grab a couple of pictures of my pcp's tonight, I've had a few. I got a 12litre bottle, trust me, using a pump ia no fun at all.

If you know someone with a diving bottle rated a 300 bar, that's what you want. Then you just need a regulator to suit.
