RE: Chat hub
I have always been a severe insomniac. Even with the sleeping pills the doctor gave me, I often have insomnia. I exist on an average of 3 hours of sleep a night.

My Doctor wants to give me stronger pills, but I not a fan of taking pills. I could ask him for Propofol which is what killed Michael Jackson. NAH! I think not. Jusy Kiding.Biggrin

This is a drug used for the treatment of depression, panic attacks, agoraphobia, cocaine withdrawal. What you need are pills that end with "lam" or "pam" Temazapam or Alprazolam both are like Xanax.

RE: Chat hub
The big, big problem with all the "pams" or benzodiazepines as they are known in the trade is their very high potential for dependence and the hideous withdrawal effects once dependent. No responsible medic should prescribe these for more than a week without very special conditions applying.

They are essentially useless and dangerous in long term conditions.

Zopiclone is good Smile

And it isn't a benzodiazepine but dependence can occur.

I agree with you Don to an extent. Dependance is highly based on a person's personality. Some people have addictive personalities. I do take temazapam for my insomnia, but I have gone many nights without taking one. Any opiate based medication like Hydrocodone, Oxycontin, Oxycodone, are the only medications the body actually needs, which is why people get so sick withdrawing from heroin and pain pills. It is the body crying out for more.

I also take Hydrocodone for my severe arthritis in my knees. If I need one I take one, and sometimes I don't. I'm just not an addictive person. I take the pills for the pain treatment, not the buzz.
