Hi TW - Our weather patterns at this time of year are very erratic with systems coming in off the Atlantic at a fast pace. 90% of our weather is from the West - the Atlantic rules and is too big to argue with.[Image: smile.gif]

I've been watching Wild Scotland on the National Geographic channel still. What a really neat bit of the world.

Not bad weather here , but yes it will end soon . Already seen our first snow just a dusting , but still a poignant reminder that winter is on our heals . Then this is New England , and the one thing you can count on is the fact that you can't count on the weather .

Burbon comes from Kentucky , scotch comes from Scotland . Others deserve no bottle .

I saw an article saying that the Farmer's Almanac was predicting a brutally cold winter this year. Immediately under it was an article saying that the Farmer's Almanac was predicting a wet, warm winter this year. No kidding.

Great part of the world TW - we are very lucky. No extremes - a bit too much rain - but that is what gives us our wonderful scenery. Great rivers beautiful Lochs and the best ''greens'' you will see anywhere. Although we do not have high mountains we have some of the trickiest climbs - and dangerous - mainly because the weather can change really quickly. Scotland is not a place to get on the wrong side of nature.

Personaly i'm for the cold , warm winters tend to yield more snow and that translates in to long days . I've learned to hate snow , spending 30 hours at work dealing with it then coming home to do more just sux .
My roomie told me last winter " I'd shovel the walk and deck but they're covered in snow " well shit man thats awfully ambitious , hell i wouldn't mind doing the dishes if they wernt dirty .

I hate it too. Once it learns to fall on grassy and non-wayfinding areas only, I may like it again.

I hate snow too. Nearly all the snow we get is damp and heavy - so clearing it is hard work. Snow Blowers do not work in Scotland.

I've done that too... Wife says to go out and shovel, but it's still snowing hard. Really though, what am I supposed to do, bat every snowflake away?
