Harley's off to the vets today.

He's an old guy. He's over ten years old which for a 47kg dog is old.

He got bitten on the nose on Sunday night (I really don't like next door's dogs much - Harley went over to say hello and one of the sleekit scumbags bit him on the nose), which is healing nicely. But it has triggered his stress eczema. He can o longer weight bear on his front right paw and I really don't like the look of one of is right rear toes. Toe cancer is one of the things you have to look out for in giant schnauzers so I want somebody who knows what they are looking at to take a look at that toe. And he has an eye infection that Optrex is keeping under control but it isn't going away.

Aww love him..  it better to be safe than sorry. I do hope it nothing serious though.. maybe you could have a word with the scumbags owner and :punish:him.

He's a very good natured lad - he was quite happy to sit there while the vet shone lights in his eyes, dripped in stuff to see if there were any scratches on the eyeball and checking out his sore feet. And when I left without him.

Here he is in charge of a narrowboat.

They're keeping him for the day, he'll need sedating and a local anaesthetic while they clip back his right rear claw. That'll need dressing so I'll get him back about teatime.
