Wow you're up early Smile

Just woke up myself but the problem is the wife has left subliminal messages around which means I must go and mow the grass Confused

Funny thing is, if I don't pick up on the message, I'm in just as much trouble as if I had ignored it completely Big Grin

Good Morning Buba

RE: Chat hub
My mower fought me every step of the way this spring.

First I forgot where a rock was, hit it and bent a blade. Then it started mowing down into the dirt.
Then I was mowing along and one of the deck mount brackets decided it wanted to fall off. Then it started mowing down into the dirt...

Had an old blade from when I changed them last year, so put one of them on. Pulled the deck off and brought it out to my moms and welded the bracket back on.

Then I found a mysterious mud hole that was never there before. about 4x4' and sunk the mower down to the deck. Mower tires are not good on wet grass, not to mention 8" of soupy mud.

Ireful2 LOL

I had to bodge our mower earlier this year due to the wheel and handle breaking off the deck. I can't really complain though as it's only a small pushalong and it does have to mow 1600 Sq feet of grass Confused Big Grin

RE: Chat hub
Ive got almost an acre to mow, and very little of that is flat ground and a lot to mow around. And it is bugging the crap out of me because I can not get it to mow level no matter how I have the adjustments. The way the deck hangs there is just too much play...
Would love to get a nice mower with like a 48-52" deck and a bagger, but dont see it in the budget anytime soon

Yeah me too, a cheap ride-on would be real nice... hmm I wonder if it's worth looking around for a cheap ride-on instead of a new pushalong Big Grin the important thing though is the grass collecting, that has to be working properly.

RE: Chat hub
Yeah, I really want a bagger for my mower. I was looking at the tow behind lawn sweepers too, they seem to be cheaper. Even with new mulch/bag blades, my mower does not throw the clippings at all. they just kind of spew out the side about a foot or so

RE: Chat hub
Had the mower, strimmer and chainsaw out till I ran out of fuel.

I had rather a lot to mow. It's not just the bit inside the fence.

So I went to the pub. The sun got up at 4am and so did I as all that Vitamin P from the beer was wanting let out.
So I got the strimmer and mower out. And looked at them till 9 when I thought that the ten people within a mile of the place wouldn't mind small two-stroke engines working hard.

Six hours in the sun later...

There's still a couple of acres to do and a lot of chainsawing but I prefer for there to be someone else around when I'm using it. The mower badly needs a service as the clouds of smoke are rather obnoxious and I think the strimmer needs better fuel or a new engine.

Then I went and picked up the hounds and I'm home. Now where did I put the beer?
