It's easy if it's apart like that, just push on the place where the white wire is soldered. No re-soldering needed Smile

I tried pushing it, but the whole thing including the insulator went up. I cant change attys anymore because when i use my tank it will pushed and if i change to rda it will not connect.

RE: Charon TC 218 Sunken 510
Break force, a short sharp blow rather than a sustained pressure may free it, maybe some wd40 while trying it would help.
 If not, it's possible that the spring has lost its torsion. Only way to do that would be with considerable heat from a short. From the pics there's no discolouring on the pin, is there any on the atty('s) contact??
Or the spring has jumped past its platform, in which case de - soldering would be needed for a cure..

That may be evidence of shorting from insufficient contact with pin

RE: Charon TC 218 Sunken 510
That it is Good

Shorts get incredibly hot, likley melting the pin into the insulator and, given the pin won't pop back up, taken the torsion out of the spring.

Once spring steel is heat damaged there's no bringing it back.. unless you know a good bit about metallurgy and have ample equiptment.

Having a spare spring before the surgery could be a good idea. Closest I've found to a 510 spring is the return spring from a click pen, just needs to be cut to size..

As you might guess, the same thing has happened to me a few times Undecided

Experience is a great teacher. Time is the best teacher; unfortunately it kills all its' students.

RE: Charon TC 218 Sunken 510
Imo;

The short will have happened because one of your atties pushed the pin down too far and it got stuck, when you put a new atty on it didn't make a full contact and heated up as a result..

The only way I see to avoid it again is not to use the atty with the longest 510. Might be possible to adjust or modify it though..

All this is guesswork based on my previous experience btw, I couldn't be conclusive unless I saw it myself.
If you do decide to look at repairing it post some pics and I'll help where I can Smile
