Charon TC 218 Sunken 510
I have a sunken 510 on my charon tc 218. That area becomes wet sometimes by ejuice i guess its some hardened juice that blocked the area. But i cleaned it with cotton alcohol and tiny screwdriver but the spring loaded 510 is still sunken it wont spring back. When i put any atty it says no atomizer. Probably because the 510 on the mod isnt touching the 510 in the atty. Help pls

Remove the cells prior to doing any work or cleaning first.

I don't know that mod but I'd say keep at it carefully with rubbing alcohol, q-tips, and your small screwdriver (carefully). Sounds like the same crusty juice issue you described on the 510 base.

Hi Josh - as TW says and be really careful. If you have an old rubber glove, cut a little bit off it and put it between the screwdriver and the pin - it will give slightly more grip for leverage and stop any scratching as well. Best of luck - a tricky thing to deal with.

What should i do now? I cleaned it already but the 510 is still lower than the black insulator ring so i cant really pull it up

If it is spring loaded like many, you may have juice dried around the spring that needs to be dissolved. Like I said, careful cleaning and poking with cells removed first.

Hi Josh - do you mean that the pin is now flush with the bottom of the connection well. There are 2 screws on the top of that mod and probably 2 on the bottom - taking these out might let the cover slide off and give you more access.

If you decide to open it, do so at your own risk. We obviously can't assume liability if your mod croaks. Remember that the wires are soldered to the 510 so be careful if you do open it; it probably won't simply come apart and I'd hate to see you pull off a wire...

RE: Charon TC 218 Sunken 510
Sounds like you've used an atty with a long 510 that has pushed the pin into the insulation, or gotten hot and the same result..
If there's any way you can take it apart and push it up from the back it'll be the best cure. Failing that you need to use a very thin flat blade driver or the like and gradually chase around the pin into the insulator, eventually it'll pop up.
The spring loading of it should be fine, it'd take way more heat than the insulator could handle to be able to damage the spring.

Don't forget to apply for the freecycle section!
