Break Even Day!
It is day 12 since I stopped smoking and so far I have saved $137. That means that with not purchasing cigarettes (for myself) and the money spent on my back up box mod, tank and eJuice that I have "Broken Even". I still have plenty of eJuice to go, so that means I will be ahead of the game. Now, MAYBE my wife will stop riding me so hard about the cost of vaping and all the "nifty-neato" things that I have been looking at. If I count the set up that my son bought me to get started with then I would still be behind the power curve, but that is HIS money, not mine ( Sarcastic_handGood ).

Awesome Jeff ! I have been cigarette free for 1 month and 4 days ! I have saved $473, and I can definitely tell you that I haven't spent that much (yet) still researching the right mod for me . but I HAVE spent a good $200 on ejuice . about $50 on my istick, and $0 on my tank.  Go you !

RE: Break Even Day!
US$271 saved already in 24 days. So now I have recouped all the money spent, including the money my son spent to get me started, and having done so in less than a month. Michele is not harassing me anymore as she is now seeing the difference in the pocket book. All costs have been recovered and I still have eJuice left. So now she is agreeable with me getting some mixing supplies and an probably an Eleaf iStick 100W to drag around in the Jeep. I like the "disposable cost" of the Eleaf. If it breaks or whatever it will not be a big deal.

I am just getting started in my vaping journey and wanted to update this thread in hopes of inspiring others to make the switch and recognize that vaping is a wonderful aid for smoking cessation.

RE: Break Even Day!
Maybe I'll begin to approach a break even day now that I've ordered my own juice making gizmos and stopped buying new mods and tanks. (Sigh, though I will still be buying new stuff when the urge overtakes me). But, it's still quite a ways off of me breaking even, money wise. But then, I'm not doing this for the monetary savings anyway.

Congrats Jeff, glad to hear of your happy success.

I am not doing this for the monetary savings. It is a nice benefit though. I started vaping as yet another attempt to stop smoking. Very Happily I must say that it worked AND I really enjoy vaping so, once I graduate out of the nicotine in my eJuice, I am sure I will continue on as a happy vaping enthusiast. I use a mech mod and have another as a backup, with a tank for each. I will probably pick up an Eleaf iStick 100W just because they are inexpensive and I can drag it around the desert with me when I am out in the Jeep. I am currently working on my "Shopping List" to start mixing my own eJuice. That is not only a monetary savings issue, but also an interest in what I can do with different flavors.

Well, Break Even Day just got tossed out the window. Lol Michele is not mad at the expenditure as she is already seeing the difference in me. My "smokers cough" is gone, I do not have the stench of smoke hanging on me, although to some I am sure that I do, as Michele still smokes and I get the residual smoke on my clothes, and I am noticing smells that she does not. I ordered my mixing supplies and an Eleaf iStick 100W today. So, my total money spent (US$426.30), since I started vaping, has jumped up above my money saved (US$295.00). I am sure those numbers will flip-flop very soon. I am already ahead of the money curve as I still have plenty of eJuice left from my last order. I figure that by the time this order arrives and I get around to mixing that I will have already made up the difference.

I hope that posting these updates on "Breaking Even" and even saving more money will help others to realize that in a short time money can be saved by switching to vaping. Eventually I will be in the market for the latest and greatest vape item out there and know that I can purchase it and still be ahead of the money curve.
