Box mods
what realistically is the best mod for under $100 with best battery life and nicest features and build. I'm interested in the wismec rx200. Is that a good choice? I'm using a uwell crown tank and will also be using a wofoto Sapor RDA. I tend to vape around 30-50 watts.

RE: Box mods
A little known mod with great battery life is the Asmodus Helve. It has a proprietary chip msert that seems to last about 20-30 percent longer - RX 200 is as good because it uses three batteries but the Helve is close. It does cost a bit more than the RX 200 though. However it feels nice and it is a solid device.

RE: Box mods
Vaping around 30-50W, you'll get pretty good battery life on any good box mod. My personal favorite for that wattage range is the Sigelei-100W. It's an awesome mod that can take a real beating: I have dropped mine countless times and it still runs just as well as the day I bought it. The RX200 is also nice, some folks don't like it but I'm loving mine. I haven't tried the Asmodus Helve, but Paul knows his stuff. I might have to try that one myself Tongue

RE: Box mods
You might also want to check out the joytech cuboid. It's 150 watts and upgradable to 200 watts, it's pretty small but really solid, large display and comes in three finishes. I have two rx200s, and my wife and son use the cuboids. The rx200 will give the best battery life, there is a new upgrade that will give you 250 watts. But the cuboids are pretty long lasting too. All of these can be found online for just under forty bucks. One I would stay away from though is the vaporesso target. They look cool, and the tank is ok, but at the shop I work at we have had several come back. They are bad to 'white screen', and there is no way to fix them. But anything these guys recommend should be fine.

Hope this helps

RE: Box mods
The Asmodus Minikin also uses the GX120 chip set so it also has a longer battery life. Also a nice little mod - smaller than the Helve. I just like the gun grip design of the Helve but it is niot for everybody. The Minikin is well suited to your needs. Don't upgrade two battery mods - even 150 watts on two batteries is pushing it. I have a dual 350j Yihi chip mod that can now be upgraded to 200 watts. I've no intention of doing so. I have a few 200 watt dual battery mods and I never vape them above 100 watts. This is coming from a guy who uses series mechs as his daily driver.

RE: Box mods
I guess I should clarify about upgrades. When the kids come in looking for a new mod, they almost always ask about the upgrades. It's about bragging rights to them, and it's a selling point for us. I always recommend that they do not try to run their new mod at full power, and I show them what can happen by dragging out an old rx200 from under the counter that's completely melted. They seem to get it, I hope. We also give out free plastic battery boxes with any mod or battery pair. I personally don't use upgrades, but I am supposed to mention them. I guess it's become habit.Sorry2

RE: Box mods
What do you mean by kids?

It is not right to squeeze 200 W out of 2 18650 batteries. It pushes the best ones of them to the limit with nil safety margin.

RE: Box mods
I'm talking about  the young boys and girls that are barely above  the legal smoking age which is eighteen here in tennessee. We card them at the door, they don't get in without proper i.d. they always want to know which ones have the most power, and if they can get more with an upgrade, the rest they don't seem to care much about. The smok Xcube  160 is way popular with them, cause it has two upgrades and those goofy lights, which are battery killers. I do my best to explain to them that just because it can do 200 watts they shouldn't run it that high, and I explain why, but I fear they are gonna do what they want regardless of my warnings and learn it the hard way. It's kind of like with a car. Just because the speedometer goes to 180, doesn't mean you can go that fast.

In my opinion, they shouldn't even build two battery mods with over 100 watt capabilities, the current battery technology is just not there yet. I don't know anybody that vapes that high on a daily basis, I never get over 80 or ninety watts, it's too hot for me.

Sorry if I had you worried.Sorry
