Big Baby Beast - Airflow
Ok, I'm wondering if anyone can help me..
My Big Baby Beast has some pretty freakin restrictive flow. Airflow is wide open, and the ring moves easily from open/close (I have read that others had trouble getting the ring to move, but that's not the case with mine). Can anyone think of why my airflow is so tight? It's comparable to vaping your cloud beast (original) airflow set to about 25% open. There's just no satisfaction for me to vape THAT restrictive. It's ruining the flavors and getting that nasty dry cotton-y after taste at the end of the inhale.

Is the coil ok?

Certainly seems to be. Tried the factory installed coil as well as the other one that came in the box. Driving me absolutely crazy.. Surely SMOK didn't engineer it this way...

RE: Big Baby Beast - Airflow
I own the baby beast which has amazing airflow (obviously coil dependant as some are more restrictive than others) but my friend has the big baby which in comparison feels a lot more restrictive so I'll be curious to know if anyone has an answer for this?

Both the baby and big baby has the airflow wide open and the big baby definitely feels more restrictive.

Haven't checked all coil types in the big baby yet though to completely rule that out.

RE: Big Baby Beast - Airflow
Well, here's about the only idea I've come up with....
Is it possible they're just cramming more cotton into the coils to the point it's effecting the rate at which the juice is able to be absorbed into the cotton.. which would also make it harder to draw?
I've got the Baby, and the original Beast, and it's like night and day how the airflow is between the Baby/reg Beast and the Big Baby.

RE: Big Baby Beast - Airflow
Ok so just tried the Q2 coil in the big beast and this solves the problem... no restriction at all.

I got it to start feeding and loosen up the restrictiveness a little better. Took the coil out and frayed the exposed cotton on the juice holes. I didn't poke holes, just frayed. It's not perfect, but it is better.

I tried several of the different coils and i'm 100% happy with the Q2 0.4 ohm coils....awesome airflow, taste and they last me 2 weeks each coil. Good

RE: Big Baby Beast - Airflow
I'm finding out the same thing. The Q2's seem to work the best. I just can't get good performance with the others. Sucks, I've been happy with the whole coil line for the original full sized cloud beast. I'll probably just stick to the q2's and rba for the big baby..
Thanks
