Best setup for rebuilding
I am slowly looking into this, and am finding out slowly what I am wanting.... To do that is not what to buy.

I know I am strictly going for flavor and I dont need smoke/puff/cloud.

I have read into it some and it seems you can build your own coils, which sounds like fun. Anyways can you build coils for any atomizer/tank or just some? What it the easiest one to learn to do or are they all the same?

I have be intrigued by the Uwell Crown 2.

End of day I am just wanting to be able to build my own stuff and it do what I need it to do.

Thanks in advance for all your input

RE: Best setup for rebuilding
The best flavour device to me is the SXK Corolla. It is one of the very few MTL tanks left which function well around 1 ohm, which is to my opinion best for flavour. I am assuming using simple single spaced coils. It does run well down to about 0.5 ohm.

The only disadvantage it is not easy to find. It's not a mainstream device, most forums now are on super low ohm vaping.

RE: Best setup for rebuilding
PaulS has reviewed many of the rta's available right now, I'm sure you'll find somthing here.

You'll also need wire and wick, I'd recommend 26g - 24g kanthal A1 or nichrome for your first builds. Cotton bacon or muji for the wick, they're both readily available and easy to use.

You'll find numerous rta reviews on YouTube,  just type in the atty you want to look at and there'll be a build tutorial for it. Yes

Don't forget to apply for the freecycle section!

RE: Best setup for rebuilding
In general, building on a tank that's made to be rebuilt (RTA) is much easier than rebuilding for a tank that takes pre-made coils. That's because RDAs can have bigger decks to build on, since it doesn't have to fit into the spot where a pre-made coil would go. I'd definitely check out Paul's post that gentlydoingit* linked above, he's tested more tanks than most of us have even heard of.

RE: Best setup for rebuilding
hi again BSB sounds like you would prefer mouth to lung vaping(MTL)
there aren't that many vapers  who MTL
its basically low power and will create about the same vapour cloud as if you were smoking a cig
the flavour is usually quite good and you don't use as much juice
the sxk corolla peter mentioned is an excellent MTL tank
here is a build tutorial to give you a rough idea of the tank

if at first you don't succeed ,call it version 1.0

RE: Best setup for rebuilding
I can also vouch for the Corolla and I knew Bob would mention it - he was the one that forced me to buy it in the first place[Image: smile.gif].
There is a lot of room on the deck which makes it easy to set up - I had never had experience of a RDTA before and found it nice and easy to do. It is a really nice MTL vape.

I build my coils same as him, slightly slunted. The cotton placing seems a bit difficult in the video, but after the 2 . time you'd do it with eyes closes. Another point, the ends of the cotton should reach the bottom of the tank. Therefore point the ends downwards and just cut where the bottom of the tank is. The airflow is not too tight it is 100 % spot on for MTL (and best flavour). The build deck is actually relatively spacious for a MTL tank, I don't think it's small as what he said. The allen screws are bigger than most, and building on that deck is a breeze. No I'm not hacking that review which is actually pretty good, just offering my opinion to some details.

The version as shown here in the video may not be available anymore. There is a new V1.5 which does not have these really beautiful marbled deco-rings. But V1.5 is improved in many other details, i.e. it has a bigger glass tank, a bigger filling port, etc. The old beauty rings fit. There are also new stabilized woood rings which cost as much as the entire tank and make it almost a collectors item.
