Battery mAh
In a 26650, or any other vape battery for that matter, I have noticed that the mAh rating ranges a ton. Which is the correct one to use? I've seen the 26650 in 4500mAh all the way to 9000mAh.

RE: Battery mAh
Hello and welcome to the forum.

For a bit of reading on mAh and how it relates to usage, check this out. It is in reference to cell phones but is a good primer.

For vaping, while I am loathe to link other forums, this is a good comprehensive look at various batteries from the preeminent battery expert, Mooch.

I do not endorse that forum, but the specific link is worth a read.

RE: Battery mAh
Basicly all 18650, 26650 are rated at 3.7 volts the Mah ( Miliap hours ) Indicates the safe rate of discharge , the higher the mah the lower the safe amperage .
9000 mah 18650 also know as a landscape battery can continuously run for more than 12hrs but at no more than 2 amps , where a 3000 mah can put out up to 20 amps over a much shorter duration , while the 3000 mahcan do the job of the 9000 , the 9000 can not do the job of the 3000 without shorting .

Why be normal when wierd is so much fun.

RE: Battery mAh
Hi and welcome RL!

TW and Chuck have you well covered.

In 18650 size anything over 3000mAh capacity is not suitable for vaping. The really high current (Upwards of 30A) tend to be of about 1500mAh capacity.

TVF tested battery info to be found here
