RE: Baby Beast burning my juice quickly?
RIP, a newbie may benefit from a decent ohmmeter because some mods are better with accuracy than others. It wasn't long before I ditched mine and just used the mod reading though. But at least, with regulated mods you aren't in danger of any catastrophic consequences. Building a dual deck does require that the two coils be matched in resistance though.

You definitely need one when wrapping your own coils I assume but do you need one for pre wound?

New guy at my local B&M has same setup as me with Big Baby and said juice usage is very low compared to using pre built coils. Any recommendations for what I need to pick as far as pre wound coils and cotton for Big Baby Beast RBA?

I do like the .4 coils although I got 1 week from .4 and 1 1/2 weeks from .15 coil the kit came with. Maybe just a difference because I was hitting the shit out of the .4 the I first got the tank...the taste compared to uwell tanks and coils...holy god what a difference!!!

I have heard good things about that tank.

About the meter for prewounds... it's always good to verify the ohms, sometimes a bad wrap may slip through the vendor's QC. Better safe than sorry I suppose.

Agreed....It's probably worth the $20 for peace of mind....

And yeah I went from Baby Beast to Uwell D1 after I used both coils for beast that came with it and it tasted like crap and so cottony compared to baby.

With the baby Beast (I used Q2 coils out of preference), I would have to use a Q-tip and clean the coils, after only a day of use there would be gunk on the interior. Now that I"m dripping, this pretty much never happens aside from the normal gunking up, which is nothing compared to the baby beast.

I think I'm done with premade coils (In non-RBA/RDA's, since premade coils for RBA's/RDA's are fine).

Was a real bummer cause I was loving the baby beast.

Thank goodness there is no shame in premade coils. I wouldn't be enjoying an RDTA if it weren't so easy. I ordered 30 SS fused claptons from FastTech and paid about the same price as one box of crown coils.

Technically, there's no shame in any style or preference of vaping! Anyway, I started my DIY building with prewounds too. I treated it as a two-step process. Step one was knowing how to build a deck and properly wick it. Step two was actually spinning the wire into real live coils. Once I had the building part down enough, I was ready to make coils. Worked for me.

Oh by the way RIP, the iPV8 is a really great little mod. I have one to speak of, this time! Still bummed the 6 was a real womp-womp.

And bibs, if you treat them right, 30 coils will last you more than a year.

I started with premade coils as well - Don kindly sent me some when I was thinking about starting on the journey - and it is a journey. The coils came with a squonk box and it is why I am where I am today and enjoying vaping more than I ever imagined I could. Thank you Don.
