RE: Artic Fox firmware
Another thing I noticed, that may be linked to another thread here, after a few 3 or so second hits at 80w the board them rises almost 10c. I very much like having board temp available too. When I build a new PC, I like to monitor temps for a while until I know it's all working properly. Knowing how quick he temps could possibly rise, and being able to see temps I think will help keep the board from having premature failure.

RE: Artic Fox firmware
Honestly, the AF firmware is just better than anything currently on the mods that can use it. I pointed that out as has TW a few times - well maybe more than a few times. There is no reason NOT to use it.

And it keeps getting updated and it keeps getting better. People need to clue in.

Spread the word, I was just giving you a lil crap. So far I like the features available even though I havent hooked it back up the the PC.

I figured out how to adjust the power curve on the mod last night. Got it set at 80w, up to 105% for the first 0.2 seconds.

RE: Artic Fox firmware
Hey Paul and TW, can you make an FAQ about AF. Seems like it's going to become a common question.

I am assuming all that TC stuff is software based, so if the hardware supports TC control, the software determines the wires supported. I am guessing if you flash the AF firmware on it, it will support it.

All speculation, but seems logical Tongue

I like the ability to control the curve all the way to 25s if desired. You can start warm, cool down, ramp it up after a few seconds, mellow it out again, etc.

One thing I was always carrying on about with the RX300 in its' Wismec clothing was the new pre-heat function (power mode). It would push X watts in .1s increments up to the first 2 seconds then go back to the preset temp. That was great but limited because it was static and not curve-able. Love how AF does it.
