RE: What battery to use?
Howdy and welcome aboard.

Well that takes an 18650 so you have a lot of options probably won't take the long protected batteries like Panasonic or Sanyo (same company actually). But still might as well get something with good mAh like them without the protection. You won't need it in that mod anyway.

These are great batteries and he is in the US. Supper fast shipper too.

You will really have a hard time finding better batteries for this mod than these.

LG ICR18650E1 - 18650 - 3200mAh 4.35v

If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?

Thank you 18sixfifty. I was also recommended some Sony vtc5's? But those are really pricey compared to these.

VTC5s are in short supply just now so prices tend to be high. Also you don't need that specification to use in the VTR, just a cell that can supply up to a maximum of seven or so amps. And you might as well go for the largest capacity you can at the same time.

Nice one.. I've heard only good things about the VTR, I'm sure you'll love it!

Good choice on the batteries too, actually I recommended those to a RL friend of mine yesterday Smile

RE: What battery to use?
Don't those LG cells need different chargers to get their full capacity? However, it should make them safer in any charger with a tendency to overcharge.

with my research yes they do, i purchased a charger that is able to fully charge them but like you said, id rather go the safe route.
